Limiting beliefs are the beliefs that we were given against our will, as they are usually created by the things that are repeated by our caregivers growing up and in the environments we most frequently find ourselves in.
Some common limiting beliefs are:

"Money is hard to receive; I have to work hard to make a lot of money."
"I'm not good enough."
"People like me don't succeed like that."
"I'm not worthy of love."
"I don't have what it takes to be rich."

When we hear things that affirm these limiting beliefs over and over again, they can easily become foundational structures in our every way of thinking. And when they become a foundational belief, whenever a situation arises, that belief is going to heavily influence how you choose to respond. While we don't get to choose what our original foundational beliefs are, we do have the power to rewrite them.
