Fly legally. Fly confidently. Build the foundation for everything that comes next.

The RPAS Basic Operations Course is your first and most important step into professional drone operations in Canada. This course is fully aligned with Transport Canada knowledge requirements and is designed by career aviation professionals, not influencers or hobbyists.

You’ll gain a clear, structured understanding of:

  • Canadian drone regulations (CARs & RPAS rules)

  • Airspace awareness and safe operating practices

  • Weather, human factors, and risk management

  • Pre-flight planning and decision-making

  • Operational limitations and responsibilities

Whether your goal is recreational flying, commercial work, or progressing into Advanced or Level 1 Complex operations, this course gives you the legal and technical foundation every pilot must have.

Training Pathway

To support a clear and efficient progression, 4DUAV structures training so you never pay twice for required knowledge:

  • RPAS Advanced Operations includes full access to the RPAS Basic Operations Course

  • Level 1 Complex Operations includes full access to both RPAS Basic and RPAS Advanced courses

This ensures every pilot receives the complete knowledge foundation required for higher-level operations, operator certification, and future pathways such as Level 1 Complex, BVLOS, and RPOC programs.

Training is structured, aviation-grade, and designed to prepare you for real operations—not just an exam.
