Tax Preparation Training — Payment, Cancellation & Refund Policy
Course Schedule
Training consists of eight Thursday sessions, two hours per session, for a total of 16 instructional hours. Orientation on October 15, 2026, includes instruction and counts as the first session.
Tuition & Registration Deposit
Regular Registration: $497
Whether you pay in full or choose a payment plan, $50 of your initial payment serves as a registration deposit and reserves your seat. This deposit is included in your total tuition.
The deposit becomes non-refundable after the cancellation period described below, except where a refund is required by law.
All remaining tuition must be paid in full by November 12, 2026.
Cancellation & Refund Schedule
Within three working days of signing the enrollment agreement: Students who cancel in writing will receive a full refund of payments made, including the $50 registration deposit, except any legally permitted charge for used, non-returnable materials.
After the cancellation period, but before instruction begins: Students who cancel in writing will receive a refund of payments made, less the $50 registration deposit.
After instruction begins, through 40% of the course: Students who withdraw in writing through 6 hours and 24 minutes of scheduled instruction will receive a prorated tuition refund. The $50 registration deposit is excluded from refundable tuition.
Tuition earned is calculated by multiplying tuition excluding the deposit by the fraction of the 16 scheduled instructional hours elapsed before withdrawal. The refund equals payments received minus the $50 deposit and earned tuition, with a minimum refund of $0.
After more than 40% of the course: No refund will be issued for voluntary withdrawal, a change of mind, missed classes, or failure to complete training, except where required by law.
Withdrawal Requests & Attendance
Submit cancellation or withdrawal requests in writing to CAP Business Group & Enterprises, LLC using the contact information provided in your enrollment agreement. The withdrawal date is the date CAP receives the request, unless applicable law requires another date.
Refund calculations use scheduled instructional hours elapsed, including orientation, whether or not the student attended. Missing a class does not by itself constitute written withdrawal.
Refund Processing & Course Cancellation
Eligible refunds will be processed within 30 days of determining the student’s withdrawal, generally through the original payment method.
If CAP cancels the entire course before instruction begins, all payments will be refunded, including the deposit. If CAP discontinues the course after instruction begins, refunds for undelivered training will be provided as required by law.
Acknowledgment
By signing the enrollment agreement, you acknowledge that you have read and accepted this policy. Any refund or cancellation rights required by applicable law take precedence over this policy.
