Maybe you just closed on a flood irrigated property and you're standing in the backyard thinking: Now what?
Or maybe you've been on irrigation for years, but the water never quite goes where it should, and you're pretty sure something is off with a berm (or a gate, or a valve you've never actually found).
Or MAYBE you've got the water figured out and you're ready for the fun part: turning a whole lot of grass into a whole lot of fruit.
If you want me to see it with my own eyes and walk every corner of the property with you?
Then this is the one 💧🌱☀️🍊
This is an in-person yard walk with me! It runs about 75 minutes (on your property) and we'll have a look at every part of it 🤗 Whether you need help figuring out what to plant or how to prune what's already there, the time is yours to "pick my brain" about your yard. I'll help you get clear on your yard goals and give you my advice on how to achieve them.
Why in-person? Because I'm a Libra. Because I like snooping in other people's backyards. And because some things you just can't show me through a screen: how the ground slopes, whether that berm will hold, where the shade lands at 3pm in June. (Plus in this digital age, isn't it just more fun to yap in person?)
👋 I'm Camille, and I've lived on flood irrigation for 30 years. I grow a backyard food forest right here in Zone 9b, and I'm the REALTOR® behind @floodirrigationaz. I've stood in a lot of yards. I know what a healthy berm looks like, the most likely place a valve could be buried, and which fruit tree varieties are worth their space (I have BIG thoughts on this).
I've spent hundreds of hours researching the flood irrigation system in Arizona specifically, interviewed high-level members of SRP (past and current), walked hundreds of yards to figure out whether a flood irrigated food forest could feasibly work there . . . and now I'm offering to walk yours!
🤓 What we might cover:
A full walk of your irrigation setup (or its potential): gates, valves, berms, grade, and flow. I'll flag anything that's costing you water or harming your trees.
Sun mapping and microclimates across the whole lot
A planting plan: what goes where, spacing, and what to skip
Fruit trees: variety selection (including my favorites for beginners), spacing, and survival odds
Existing trees and plants: troubleshooting any issues
An irrigation-day walkthrough if we can time it (see FAQ)
Getting laser-clear on your dreams for your yard
Anything else you want to ask. No question is too basic.
*NOTE: This option covers properties within 25 minutes of Downtown Mesa: most of Mesa, Tempe, Gilbert, Chandler, and parts of Phoenix & Scottsdale. If you live farther out (Queen Creek, San Tan Valley, Apache Junction, Glendale, Buckeye, Waddell, etc) book the Extended In-Person Yard Walk instead. Not sure which one you are? DM me on Instagram @floodirrigationaz before you book 🙂
*ALSO: Flood irrigation is rare in Arizona, and not every house is in an irrigation delivery district. Put your address in the booking form and I'll confirm your lot is in a district before I drive out. If it isn't, see the FAQ for your options.

FAQ
Can you come on irrigation day?
Yes, I'll bring my boots if you'll bring yours! If you know your schedule and the stars align, you can book for a delivery window and put the delivery time in the booking form. I'll do my best to plan around it.
What if it rains or the temperature is dangerous?
We reschedule at no charge. I'm not walking your yard at 115°F and neither should you.
I haven't closed yet. Can you look at a property I'm considering?
Yes! Book it and put "pre-purchase" and the listing address in the booking form. (If you're not already working with an agent, ask me about doing this as part of representing you instead.)
What if my yard isn't flood irrigated or can't be?
It's up to you! Plenty of people are growing amazing things in the Valley without flood irrigation, and I'm happy to walk your yard with sustainable and regenerative options in mind. If you'd rather not, we'll cancel and I'll refund you in full.
Do you do the irrigation work or planting yourself?
No. I diagnose and plan. For hands-on work I'll point you to contractors I trust.
What's your refund policy?
Reschedule up to 24 hours before. No refunds once the walk has happened.
