concrete garDen explores the contrast between how Detroit is perceived from the outside and how it is experienced by those who call it home.
Where others see concrete, we see gardens. Where others see struggle, we see resilience. Where others see a city defined by its problems, we see creativity, culture, grit, and an unmatched blue-collar spirit.
The flowers growing alongside Detroit's skyline symbolize the beauty that continues to emerge from our concrete — a reminder that something beautiful can grow anywhere.
This is Detroit through our eyes.
This is home.
Detroit vs. Everybody.
