Taking My Last Name

Taking My Last Name

$22

For years, I carried a story I never planned to tell.

A story filled with pain, silence, confusion, survival, and ultimately, healing.

Taking My Last Name is my personal journey through childhood trauma, the long-lasting impact it had on my life, and the courage it took to finally break free from the secrets that followed me into adulthood.

This is not just a memoir.

It’s a story for every person who has ever felt unseen.

Every person who has questioned their worth.

Every survivor who has wondered if healing is truly possible.

Inside these pages, you’ll walk with me through some of the darkest moments of my life, but you’ll also discover the faith, resilience, and strength that helped me find my voice again.

If you’ve ever carried pain that wasn’t yours to carry…

If you’ve ever struggled with trust, relationships, self-worth, or identity…

If you’ve ever needed proof that your past does not define your future…

This book was written for you.

Because healing is possible.

Because your story matters.

And because what happened to you does not get the final say.

Taking My Last Name is a testament to resilience, faith, self-love, and the transformative power of genuine love. It is both a love letter to the woman Alexis became and a tribute to the husband who helped her feel safe enough to fully heal. Honest, vulnerable, and empowering, this is a book that will stay with readers long after the final page.

I feel like most young girls went through something similar to this at some point in their lives, or know someone who has. Unfortunately, it’s all too common – the feeling of being trapped, having to keep a secret that isn’t yours and never should’ve been in the first place, and just feeling lost when it’s all said and done. This was beautiful. Relatable. Emotional. Truly well done! I never put it down until the end.
