Dr Azom Science – Terms and Conditions
By registering and paying for tuition with Dr Azom Science, you agree to the following terms.
1. Lessons
Lessons are delivered live online, usually through Zoom.
Students may also receive access to Google Classroom, where we may provide:
Lesson links
Recordings
Homework
Worksheets
Exam questions
Revision resources
Students should join lessons on time and be ready to participate.
2. Payments
Tuition fees must be paid by the agreed payment date.
A student's place is only confirmed once payment has been received.
Where tuition is paid monthly, the student's place will continue until the parent or guardian cancels the arrangement.
Fees may change in the future, but parents will be informed in advance.
3. Missed Lessons
If a student misses a group lesson, the lesson fee is non-refundable.
Where available, a lesson recording may be provided so the student can catch up.
Individual replacement lessons cannot normally be arranged for missed group lessons.
4. If We Cancel a Lesson
If Dr Azom Science has to cancel a lesson, we will normally provide a replacement lesson, alternative arrangement, credit or refund where appropriate.
5. Cancelling Tuition
Parents can cancel future tuition before the next payment is due if it's a subscription.
Payments already made for tuition that has started are non-refundable, except where required by law.
6. Lesson Recordings and Materials
Lesson recordings, worksheets, slides and other resources are for the enrolled student's personal use only.
They must not be copied, shared, uploaded online, sold or passed to other students or tuition providers without permission.
Zoom links and Google Classroom details must also not be shared with anyone who is not enrolled.
7. Student Behaviour
Students are expected to behave respectfully during lessons.
Disruptive, abusive or inappropriate behaviour may result in a student being removed from a lesson or, in serious cases, from the tuition programme.
Parents will normally be contacted if there are concerns.
8. Homework and Results
Students are encouraged to complete homework and revision tasks.
Dr Azom Science will provide teaching and academic support, but we cannot guarantee a particular GCSE grade or examination result.
Results depend on factors including attendance, effort, homework, revision and exam performance.
9. Technology
Parents are responsible for making sure students have suitable internet access and a device that can join online lessons.
We are not responsible for technical problems caused by the student's internet connection or device.
10. Communication
Important information may be sent by email, Google Classroom or other agreed communication methods.
Parents should make sure their contact details are correct and check messages regularly.
11. Privacy and Safeguarding
Personal information will only be used where necessary to provide and manage tuition and will be handled in accordance with applicable UK data protection law.
Dr Azom Science takes student safeguarding seriously and may take appropriate action if a safeguarding concern arises.
12. Changes to Lessons or Timetables
Occasionally we may need to make reasonable changes to lesson times, tutors or course arrangements.
Parents will be informed where possible.
13. UK Law
These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
Nothing in these Terms removes any legal rights you may have under UK consumer law.
