The Filing Decision

The Filing Decision

$197

Thirty minutes on the phone with me. Then a written finding about your organization — not general information off the internet.

It answers four questions.

  1. Should this be a nonprofit at all? Sometimes the honest answer is no. I will tell you, and I will tell you what to do instead.

  2. Which IRS form do you qualify for? The short one or the long one. That one fork decides your fee and your wait.

  3. What in your plan would get you flagged? Named plainly, so you can fix it before it is on a filed application.

  4. What will this cost you, all in? Itemized. IRS fee, your state's fees, everything.

The IRS user fee is not refundable — $275 for the short form, $600 for the long one. They keep it whether you are approved or denied. This is $197 to know before any of that is on the table.

Three things come with it, at no extra charge:

— Fundraise While You Wait. The IRS back-dating rule, worked against your dates. ($350 value)
— Your Board, Named. The three roles the IRS expects, and how to ask people to serve. ($250 value)
— The Denial Files. The language and structures that draw scrutiny, from 100 filings. ($400 value)

I have filed 100 applications. All 100 were approved.

If you hire me to do the filing within 30 days, your $197 comes off the price.

After you book, I will email you five short questions. Most folks answer them in about five minutes, and it means we do not spend our thirty minutes on basics.
