One of my greatest challenges over the last year has been learning how to actually take my thoughts captive, control where they’re going, and shifting them to real truth.
After an experience recently with my 6 year old, I realized this is something my kids already struggle with too. Even though we work hard to validate feelings and hold space for emotions, we can’t control the perspectives and the lens to which they see experiences they are having.
That lens creates thought patterns. Thought patterns repeated over time create inner self-talk AND shapes how they respond to others.
This guide is designed to help you help your child start to navigate those thought patterns that aren’t serving them before they get so ingrained that it becomes just how they see themselves and the world.
Only God can change hearts, but I believe equipping our kids at a young age to shift their identity from what others say about them (or what they perceive others are saying about them) based on their responses and interactions to where their identity actually comes from is KEY!
Included in this guide:
20 different thought patterns
Common phrases a child might say in each thought pattern so you can easily identify which one your child is coming from
5 reasons they may be operating from a specific thought pattern
How to use this information in your day to day routines
Bible verses for each thought pattern
Strategies and examples of how to use Scripture to help a child move from their stuck thought pattern to God's truth
Each thought pattern has it's own page so you can print or screen shot only what you need when you need it!
