The title alone invites us to pause and ask ourselves: “Mind, what are you thinking?”
When a thought enters our mind and we cannot immediately discern its source, we may ask: Is this thought from God, from the enemy, or from my own flesh?
One of the clearest ways to discern a thought is to measure it against the Word of God. If it does not line up with Scripture, we should not dwell on it. The enemy can be deceptive and knows how to make wrong thoughts appear acceptable. That is why it is so important to speak God’s Word over our minds and bring every thought into obedience to Christ.
2 Corinthians 10:5 is a powerful Scripture for this very purpose. It teaches us to cast down imaginations and anything that exalts itself against the knowledge of God, while bringing every thought captive to the obedience of Christ.
This book is written to encourage you to guard your mind, recognize the power of God’s Word, and use Scripture as a tool for spiritual discernment, correction, and growth.
