💀💜 KWA SENBO! KWAAAAAAAA! GEDE YO LA! ☠️🕯️
THE ANCESTORS SHALL NEVER BE FORGOTTEN!
In Haitian Vodou, death is not the end of our spiritual journey. It is a transition, a transformation, and a continuation of our sacred relationship with those who walked before us.
During FÈT GEDE, we honor the mysteries of life and death, celebrate our departed loved ones, and give reverence to the Gede, the spirits who remind us that life and death are forever connected. 💜
🥀 LAKOU DANTÈS ANNUAL MANJE GEDE
ANCESTOR COMMUNITY FEEDING + CANDLE SERVICE
Through Manje Mò yo, the sacred tradition of feeding our departed, we gather to nourish, honor, remember, and spiritually elevate our ancestors.
🕯️ OUR COMMUNAL ANCESTRAL ALTAR WILL INCLUDE:
💜 Ancestral food and drink offerings
💀 Candle lighting, prayers, and ancestral veneration
💜 Ancestral photographs and the recitation of names
💀 Rituals for ancestral elevation and spiritual connection
💜 Special offerings honoring the Gede
💀 Collective prayers for healing, protection, prosperity, and blessings throughout our lineages
THIS IS MORE THAN REMEMBRANCE. THIS IS AN ACT OF LOVE, RECIPROCITY, AND SACRED RESPONSIBILITY!
We invite our community to participate by placing the names and photographs of their departed loved ones upon our communal ancestral altar, where they will be honored throughout our three-day observance.
