Preparing to breastfeed is easier before you are tired, recovering and learning everything at once.
Ready to Feed is a live prenatal breastfeeding preparation class with Dr Nneka, a medical doctor providing breastfeeding education through Dr's Tips. In 90 minutes, you will learn what to expect in the first feeds, how to recognise hunger cues, what a good latch feels like, how feeding patterns can look in the early days, and how your support person can help during the first week.
This class is designed to give you clarity and a practical plan. It is not a promise that feeding will feel a certain way, and it is not a substitute for your own maternity or healthcare team. You will leave knowing what is commonly expected, what deserves attention and where to ask for help.
The next live class is on Saturday 14 November 2026 from 10:00 to 11:30 am Toronto time on Zoom.

Frequently asked questions:
When is the class?
The next class is on Saturday 14 November 2026 from 10:00 to 11:30 am Toronto time.
Where is the class held?
The class is live on Zoom. Your confirmation email will include the joining link and workbook.
Can my partner or support person attend?
Yes. One support person from your household can attend the live class with you at no extra charge.
What if I cannot attend live?
Replay access is included for 30 days. Please register before the class if you would like to receive the replay.
When should I take the class?
The class is designed for pregnancy, particularly the second or third trimester. You can attend earlier if you like to plan ahead, or closer to your due date if places remain.
I have breastfed before. Is the class still useful?
Yes. The class can help you prepare with clearer expectations, a better support plan and a reminder of the early feeding signs. It does not provide individual assessment of a previous feeding difficulty.
Does the class guarantee that breastfeeding will work for me?
No class can guarantee a feeding outcome. Ready to Feed gives you education, preparation and a plan for asking for help early. Your own healthcare team can advise you about your individual circumstances.
What is the difference between Standard and Plus?
Standard includes the live class, workbook, resources and replay. Plus also includes one short post birth follow up support session to use within eight weeks after your baby arrives, subject to availability.
Can I ask personal medical questions in the class?
You can ask general questions during the question section. Personal medical questions need advice from your own healthcare team or an appropriate individual appointment. Please do not share private medical details in the group chat.
What happens if the class date changes?
If the class cannot run as scheduled, registered attendees will be contacted by email and offered the options stated in the confirmed refund and transfer terms.
