This is a series of self-portraits I took back in 2023, during my first trip to the UK; they are the result of my first moment of inspiration and improvisation at my friend Roger’s house.

I remember having a moment to myself at his house; I looked out towards his garden and thought, ‘I want to take some photos there!’ I rushed to fetch the camera, the tripod and a chair from the living room, and got started.

These were created right after "Horus" ones, at Horus i started feeling like the photos were too over exposed and I didnt have any idea of how to make them differetly so I looked at that side of the garden and reallly liked the white flowers of that small tree/bush ; I felt it contrasted beautifully with the tone of my skin and the orange wall as well.

It was just a few minutes of exploration, yet after so many photographs taken during the trip, returning to Colombia and continuing to travel in the years that followed, I’d never had the time — until now — to revisit these photographs and bring them – finally – to light.

Its a small but very warm set. I hope it can inspire you. 💚
