You know you want something different.
Maybe you want to land your first international remote job.
Maybe you’re already working remotely but want to move into a better role, earn more, or work for a company that values what you bring.
Maybe you’re in Nigeria and wondering, “How do I actually get hired by an international company when I’m not in the same country?”
Or maybe you’ve relocated and you’re trying to figure out how to build a remote career in your new country.
For the past ten years, I’ve built my career around remote work.
I started in Nigeria, working remotely for international companies and landing more than a dozen opportunities across freelance, contract and full-time roles with companies in the UK, Ukraine and the US.
Eventually, that career became part of what made it possible for me to relocate to Canada with my family.
And even after moving, I continued to pursue remote opportunities and build my career in a completely new job market.
So when I talk about remote work, I’m not talking about something I discovered yesterday.
I’ve had to figure this out from different angles.
I’ve had to figure out how to position myself for international companies.
How to find opportunities that weren’t necessarily being advertised to people in Nigeria.
How to communicate my value to employers in other countries.
How to build a career that could travel with me.
And how to keep doing it when my location, circumstances and career goals changed.
For me, remote work is about access.
Access to companies and opportunities you may never have had access to before.
Access to international experience without having to relocate first.
Access to better career possibilities.
And, ultimately, the ability to build a career that gives you more options in life.
It’s what that job can make possible.
It can give you the opportunity to earn internationally while living in Nigeria.
It can give you the freedom to build your career without being limited to the companies hiring in your immediate location.
It can make relocation easier because you already have an international career.
And for many people, it can create the kind of flexibility that allows them to be more present for their families while still building a serious career.
That is the possibility I want you to see.
And that’s what we’ll work on together.
It’s about helping you understand how to approach the remote job market strategically.
We’ll talk about:
The kinds of remote roles you can realistically target based on your experience
How to identify international companies that hire remotely
How to position your existing experience for global employers
How to make your CV and LinkedIn work for the roles you want
How to find opportunities beyond the obvious job boards
How to approach companies even when there isn’t an obvious vacancy
How to build skills that make you more competitive
How to approach applications strategically instead of applying randomly
How to navigate interviews and communicate your value
And, when relevant, how to approach the job market as an immigrant
And I also want this to be a space where we talk about your actual situation.
You may have 10 years of experience but be struggling to translate it for the international market.
You may have great skills but no idea what roles you should be applying for.
You may be a recent graduate trying to figure out where to start.
You may have been applying for months without getting interviews.
Or you may simply know that you want a remote international career but have no idea what that path looks like yet.
Bring your questions.
Bring your CV.
Bring the roles you’re interested in.
Bring the applications that aren't working.
Bring the career confusion.
Bring the thing you've been trying to figure out on your own.
Because that is how I’ve approached my own career.
I don't always know the answer at the beginning. I figure it out.
And that’s the approach I want to help you develop too.
I don't want you to leave these sessions simply feeling motivated.
I want you to leave knowing what to do next.
Because landing an international remote job is possible.
It may take time.
It may require you to learn something new, reposition yourself, try a different strategy or hear “no” a few times.
But your current location does not have to define the limits of your career.
So wherever you are starting from, let's figure out your next move.
Your remote career can be bigger than your current location.
Let's work on making that possibility real.
