Resurrection Egg Scriptures!

Our family has never done the myth of the Easter bunny, or made it the main focus of Easter, but we’ve always done a small egg hunt. Most of the eggs have a chocolate in them, but there were always 12 special ones.

These special eggs were numbered 1 - 12, and after the egg hunt was done, we would all sit around, and my dad would say, “Who has Egg #1?” Some child would excitedly say, “ME!!” And my dad would ask what was inside.

Each egg held something different that helped to tell the crucifixion and resurrection story! He would read the Scripture that went with that egg, and then move on to Egg #2, and so on until the end.

It was one of my favorite Easter memories growing up, and I hope you love it as much as I did.
