PART 1: TUTOR–CLIENT SERVICE AGREEMENT
This Agreement sets out the terms between [Your Full Name / Trading Name] (“the Tutor”) and the Parent / Guardian (“the Client”) in relation to the provision of online tuition for the Student (“the Student”). By confirming tuition arrangements and making payment, the Client agrees to these terms.
1. Service Description
1.1 The Tutor agrees to provide online tuition sessions or related adjacent services such as marking, in the subject(s) specified and agreed with the Client.
1.2 Sessions will take place via an agreed online platform (e.g. Zoom, Google Meet, or similar).
1.3 The Tutor will prepare lessons, provide suitable learning materials, and offer feedback to support the Student’s progress.
2. Fees and Payment
2.1 Tuition fees will be agreed in writing and paid before sessions begin.
2.2 Fees are payable in advance via bank transfer / online payment method (whichever applies) at the frequency specified by the product category and description or as discussed with Mr Parsons via consultation when appropriate (refer to service contract sent post-consultation)
2.3 Lessons are not confirmed until payment has been received.
2.4 The Tutor reserves the right to review and adjust rates within 14 days notice. Existing customers will typically remain at the older rate. Whether or not new subscriptions by existing customers are charged at old or current rates remains at the discretion of MrParsonsEnglish.
2.5 The Tutor reserves the right to pursue any outstanding payments or recover losses arising from chargebacks, failed transactions, or breaches of this Agreement. All payment disputes will first be addressed in good faith through reasonable communication with the Client.
3. Cancellations and Rescheduling
3.1 The Client must provide at least 48 hours’ notice to cancel or reschedule a session.
3.2 Cancellations made with less than 24 hours’ notice will be charged in full. Refer to Stan Store’s General Terms for more information.
3.3 If the Tutor must cancel a session, as much notice as possible will be given and the session will be rescheduled or refunded in its entirety.
3.4 Repeated short-notice cancellations may result in termination of this Agreement.
3.5 In accordance with the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013, Clients who enter into this Agreement online or at a distance have a statutory right to cancel within 14 days of confirming the Agreement, provided that tuition has not yet commenced.
By attending tuition within that 14-day period, the Client expressly agrees that the service may begin immediately and acknowledges that the statutory right to cancel is waived once tuition has been attended by the client.
3.6 If you have downloaded a digital product that you have purchased you will not be eligible for refund unless there is a technical issue with the file such as being incomplete or not opening properly (in which case it will be sent again) or if it was not as described in the Checkout/Webpage section which lists the product information.
4. Lateness and Attendance
4.1 If the Student is late, the session will still end at the scheduled time and be charged in full.
4.2 If the Student fails to attend without notice, the session will still be charged in full.
4.3 If the Tutor is delayed due to technical issues or emergencies, either a refund will be issued or the lost time will be made up.
4.4 The tutor MrParsonsEnglish reserves the right to cancel and/or reschedule with at least 48 hours notice, for any reason.
4.5 A student should only attend a service they have booked onto, to avoid conflicts with other client users regarding scheduling. Specifically, book club members should only attend the webinar event relevant to their age/year group.
4.6 Book Club members found to be attending webinars not in their year group will result in termination of services with immediate effect, as such action by students is detrimental to other client users (book club members) and could effect their access to MrParsonsEnglish services (book club members) which they have booked and paid for.
5. LEARNING AGREEMENT
5.1 The Client- you, the parent/guardian- is responsible for ensuring the Student:
(a) Has a suitable, quiet learning environment and working internet connection(
b)Attends on time and is ready to learn

5.3 If your child appears uncooperative or is not applying themselves, MrParsonsEnglish may endeavour to contact you to notify you of this, but he is under no obligation to do so.
6. BEHAVIOUR AGREEMENT
6.1 MrParsonsEnglish operates a strict zero-tolerance policy for poor behaviour and reserves the right to cease providing educational services to you/your child at any time, for any reason, without refund.
6.2 The Tutor reserves the right to terminate sessions if behaviour is inappropriate, disrespectful, or disruptive, without refund.
6.3 If your child behaves in a manner that is inappropriate, derogatory, offensive, prejudicial and/or obscene, you will be notified and the service agreement of MrParsonsEnglish will be terminated immediately without refund. If necessary, the police may be informed (for example if a student were to say, or write, something illegal on a digital whiteboard).
6.4 If you or your child is witness to poor behaviour from others (such as in a group lesson), MrParsonsEnglish will endeavour to contact you, the parent, at reasonable notice to inform you of the development and steps taken.

7.3 Any extracts of texts are reproduced under fair use exclusively for educational purposes and are otherwise subject to relevant copyright and publishing law and should not be reproduced by the student for any purposes other than their own study.
7.4 The Tutor will not disclose any personal information to third parties without consent, unless required by law or safeguarding concerns.
8. Progress and Feedback
8.1 The Tutor will provide honest feedback on the Student’s progress when requested.
8.2 The Tutor does not guarantee specific outcomes or final grades.
8.3 For services that include multi-stage feedback or double marking (for example, essay marking with a second round of review), the Student must return their revised work within the timeframe specified by the Tutor- which can be found in the product description on the checkout page, as well as the confirmation email following payment.
8.4 If the revised work is not returned by the student/client within this timeframe, the second round of marking may not be provided, and no refund will be issued for that portion of the service and the service will complete as a standalone marking service. If you do not agree to these terms you should not endeavour to purchase this service and you accept that you will not be entitled to a refund if you do not abide by the service terms.
8.5 The Tutor will complete the second marking (written, audio, or otherwise) within a reasonable period after receiving the Student’s resubmission and will provide additional feedback to support further improvement.
9. Termination of Agreement
9.1 Either party may terminate this Agreement by giving 72 hours written notice except in cases where the tutor believes poor behaviour has arisen at which point notice of termination may be given immediately and with immediate effect
9.2 Any lessons already paid for will be honoured or refunded, at the Tutor’s discretion, unless poor behaviour is the cause of termination in which case outstanding lessons will be refunded but lessons already completed will not be refunded.
9.3 Breach of the terms of this Tutor-client agreement may result in immediate termination of the Agreement.
10. Limitation of Liability
10.1 The Tutor is not liable for any loss, damage, or injury- including but not limited to financial, intellectual, or otherwise arising from participation in tutoring sessions.
10.2 The Tutor does not accept responsibility for technical issues, loss of connectivity, or circumstances beyond reasonable control. Any lost tuition time will be dealt with under the terms set out in sections 3 and 4 of this agreement.
