Are you traveling with another person with whom you'd like to room? If so, who?
These acknowledgements help everyone arrive prepared, understand the trip expectations, and enjoy a safe and supportive Camino experience. Please read each statement carefully before registering.
Do you have any food allergies, dietary restrictions, or other dietary needs? If yes, please describe them here, what your symptoms are when exposed, and book a complimentary 15-minute call with Piper through the contact page before registering so we can discuss whether your needs can be accommodated.
I understand that this trip includes shared accommodations as described in the itinerary. I will share a room with another participant. If traveling alone, I understand that a roommate will be assigned to me.
I acknowledge and understand that a passport valid for a minimum of three (3) months beyond the last day of the trip is required for entry into Europe, and that it is my responsibility to meet this requirement.
I understand that I am responsible for meeting all passport, visa, and entry requirements applicable to my nationality and travel itinerary. Where required, my passport must be valid for at least three months beyond my planned departure from the Schengen Area and have been issued within the previous ten years. I am responsible for obtaining any required visa or travel authorization, including ETIAS if applicable at the time of travel, and paying all related fees before departure.
I agree to have a working mobile phone with an active international calling and data plan, or an equivalent arrangement that supports calls and mobile data in Spain, for the duration of the trip. I will install WhatsApp, join the trip group, keep my phone charged, and check for trip updates. I understand that Wi-Fi access alone does not meet this requirement and that I may be unable to begin or continue the trip if I cannot meet this essential communication requirement.
I understand that this is a physically demanding, multiday hiking trip requiring advance training. I agree to train consistently using the provided training program and prepare for the itinerary’s daily distances, terrain, elevation changes, and published walking pace. I will contact Piper promptly if I have questions, experience difficulty with training, or am concerned about my readiness.
I agree to purchase and maintain travel insurance covering trip cancellation and interruption, emergency medical treatment, and medical evacuation for the full travel period. I am responsible for confirming that my policy covers the trip’s hiking activities and reviewing its exclusions, limits, and any requirements relating to pre-existing conditions. I will provide Piper with my insurance confirmation, policy details, and emergency assistance number within 14 days of booking, or before departure if booking fewer than 14 days before the trip. I understand that insurance does not cover every circumstance and that reimbursement is determined by my insurer.
I agree to complete my medical form honestly and thoroughly, including relevant medical conditions, medications, allergies, injuries, and limitations that could affect my participation or emergency care. I will provide a signed letter from my treating physician confirming that they have reviewed the itinerary and physical demands and consider me medically fit to participate. This letter is due no later than 90 days before the trip begins. If registering within 90 days of departure, I must arrange the submission deadline with Piper before booking. I understand that obtaining medical clearance is my responsibility. If my physician does not clear me to participate, or later withdraws that clearance, I will not be permitted to participate and no refund will be issued, except where required by applicable law. The trip’s cancellation and transfer policies will apply. I am encouraged to discuss any concerns about my ability to participate with my physician before registering. I agree to notify Piper promptly of any change in my health, medications, injury status, or physical ability that could affect participation, and to obtain updated physician clearance before participating or continuing. I understand that physician clearance does not replace the trip’s physical requirements or the guides’ ongoing safety assessments.
I agree to tell a guide promptly if I experience illness, injury, unusual symptoms, or difficulty maintaining the required pace or completing the planned distance. I understand that speaking up early helps the guides support me and make appropriate safety decisions.
I have read and agree to the trip itinerary, participation requirements, and cancellation and transfer policies provided before booking. I understand that failure to meet the preparation, documentation, insurance, or safety requirements may prevent me from starting or continuing the trip. Any cancellation, refund, transfer, or unused-service arrangements will be governed by the booking terms and applicable law.

Terms & Conditions

ASSUMPTION OF RISK AND RELEASE OF LIABILITY

PLEASE READ CAREFULLY. THIS AGREEMENT AFFECTS YOUR LEGAL RIGHTS, INCLUDING YOUR RIGHT TO RECOVER DAMAGES FOR CERTAIN CLAIMS.

In consideration of being permitted to participate in the Camino de Santiago trip for which I am registering, I agree as follows:

  1. PARTIES AND ACTIVITIES COVERED

This agreement applies to Run Your Life Corporation; Piper Ruiz, individually and in her capacity as owner, officer, trip leader, or guide; and the corporation’s officers, directors, employees, assigned guides, agents, and volunteers acting in connection with the trip (collectively, the “Released Parties”).

The activities covered include the booked trip, guided hiking, included activities, Company-arranged transportation and accommodations, briefings, and training or preparation guidance provided by Run Your Life Corporation.

  1. ACKNOWLEDGEMENT OF RISKS

I understand that international travel and multiday hiking involve inherent and other risks that may result in illness, injury, permanent disability, death, or property loss.

These risks include, without limitation: slips, trips, falls, and collisions; uneven, steep, loose, wet, or slippery terrain; public roads and vehicle traffic; blisters and overuse injuries; physical exhaustion; dehydration and electrolyte disturbances; heat illness, sun exposure, cold, storms, and other weather conditions; cardiac events and complications involving existing medical conditions; allergic reactions and foodborne illness; infectious disease; insects and animals; transportation incidents; accommodation hazards; theft or loss of belongings; separation from the group; communication failures; and delayed or unavailable medical treatment, rescue, or evacuation.

I understand that conditions, facilities, accessibility, food preparation, transportation, and emergency services abroad may differ from those in my home country. Guides cannot eliminate all risks, continuously monitor my health, or guarantee my safety or completion of the trip.

  1. VOLUNTARY PARTICIPATION AND ASSUMPTION OF RISK

I voluntarily choose to participate after considering the trip’s physical demands and risks. I understand that the risks described above are not exhaustive and that unexpected hazards may arise.

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, I knowingly assume the inherent risks of participation and the risks arising from ordinary negligence expressly covered by the release below. This assumption does not extend to conduct or legal duties that cannot lawfully be released.

  1. RELEASE OF LIABILITY INCLUDING ORDINARY NEGLIGENCE

TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, I RELEASE THE RELEASED PARTIES FROM CLAIMS I MAY HAVE FOR PERSONAL INJURY, ILLNESS, DEATH, OR PROPERTY LOSS ARISING OUT OF MY PARTICIPATION IN THE COVERED ACTIVITIES, INCLUDING CLAIMS CAUSED BY THE ORDINARY NEGLIGENCE OF A RELEASED PARTY.

Where lawfully releasable, this includes ordinary negligence in planning or conducting activities; selecting routes, accommodations, transportation, or suppliers; providing training or preparation guidance; assessing readiness; supervising participants; and providing first aid or arranging emergency assistance.

THIS RELEASE DOES NOT APPLY TO GROSS NEGLIGENCE, RECKLESSNESS, WILLFUL MISCONDUCT, FRAUD, OR ANY LIABILITY, STATUTORY DUTY, OR CONSUMER RIGHT THAT APPLICABLE LAW PROHIBITS RELEASING. NOTHING IN THIS AGREEMENT EXCLUDES NONWAIVABLE PACKAGE-TRAVEL RIGHTS OR OTHER MANDATORY LEGAL PROTECTIONS.

I understand that this release may prevent me from recovering compensation for harm caused by a Released Party’s ordinary negligence, where such a release is enforceable.

  1. SAFETY DECISIONS AND EMERGENCY ASSISTANCE

I understand that guides may reasonably require me to stop an activity, rest, use alternative transportation, obtain medical assessment, or discontinue participation when circumstances present a significant safety risk. I agree to cooperate with reasonable safety instructions.

I authorize the Released Parties to contact emergency services and my emergency contact and to assist in arranging medical assessment, transportation, or evacuation when reasonably necessary. If I cannot communicate, they may share information reasonably necessary for my care and seek assistance consistent with applicable law. This authorization does not override my lawful medical decisions or authorize treatment beyond a responder’s lawful scope.

I understand that rescue and medical care may be delayed or unavailable. Responsibility for medical, transportation, evacuation, and related expenses remains subject to the booking terms, applicable insurance coverage, and applicable law. This provision does not shift responsibility for costs that the Company is legally required to bear.

  1. INDEPENDENT SERVICES AND PERSONAL ACTIVITIES

I understand that transportation providers, accommodations, restaurants, and other suppliers may be independent businesses. Nothing in this agreement excludes responsibility imposed on Run Your Life Corporation by applicable law for services included in my booking.

Activities I independently arrange outside the booked itinerary, including personal travel before or after the trip, are not supervised by the Released Parties unless expressly agreed in writing. Any release concerning those activities remains subject to the limitations stated above.

  1. SCOPE AND SEVERABILITY

This agreement applies only to the trip for which I am registering and its covered preparation activities, including covered harm that becomes apparent afterward.

To the extent legally permitted, this agreement binds my estate and legal representatives. It does not waive independent rights belonging to another person who has not validly agreed to the release.

If any provision is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in effect to the extent permitted by law. No provision will be interpreted to waive a right or exclude liability that cannot lawfully be waived or excluded.

  1. ACKNOWLEDGEMENT AND SIGNATURE

I confirm that I am at least 18 years old and legally able to enter this agreement. I have read and understand this assumption of risk and release of liability, including the release of ordinary-negligence claims and its limitations. I have had an opportunity to ask questions and seek independent advice.

I understand that I am giving up certain legal rights to the extent permitted by law, and I voluntarily agree to this waiver. My electronic signature or affirmative electronic acceptance is intended to constitute my agreement where legally recognized.
