Mummy and Me. Learn to Dutch braid together, just the two of you.
A hands on braid lesson with me, Raz, for mums and daughters. Leave with braids that stay neat for a full week, and a memory you'll both keep.
DOES THIS SOUND LIKE YOU?
You've tried watching the YouTube videos. You've ended up with loose braids that don't last.
Or you can do a ponytail, maybe a basic plait, and you're tired of saying "that's all I can do."
And then there's the hair time battle.
"Mum, you're hurting me."
"I don't want you to do it."
"Can you just leave it?"
So you give in, do another ponytail, and feel a little bit rubbish about it.
Here's the truth. It's not that you're bad at hair. Nobody has shown you where your hands and fingers should be, or how to braid without the tugging.
I know that feeling. It's why I started.
MY STORY
I'm Raz, Braid Bar owner and Braid Educator in Hampshire, and I own Braid School.
This all started with my own daughter. Her hair looked a mess and I was worried about nits at school. So I booked myself into a braid lesson. I went on to launch Trenza Braid Bar in 2019, then Braid School, with one aim. To help parents.
Seven years later, I've braided 5000+ heads and taught 1000+ mums, dads and new braiders.
I created my own technique that makes braids last seven days, still neat and pretty for the full week. It's the reason my Braid Bar clients keep coming back. And now I teach it to mums and daughters together.
Because hair time shouldn't be a battle. It can be the best bit of your day.
WHAT YOU GET
A lesson made for the two of you, hands on, step by step.
You'll learn to Dutch braid properly. I'll show you:
Where your hands and fingers go
How big your sections should be so the braid lasts
How to braid gently, so it doesn't pull or hurt
How to use product and where to put it so the braid holds and doesn't go fluffy
These are my Braid Bar secrets that make a braid last a full week.
Plus, time for your own hair. If your hair is suitable, I'll also show you how to braid your own hair.
WHAT THIS MEANS FOR YOU
You'll leave as a confident Dutch braider.
No more "ouch, Mum." Your braids will be comfy, not tight and tugging.
She'll actually let you do her hair. She might even ask you to.
You'll save time, because one Sunday braid can last the whole week.
You'll skip the daily stress of doing hair
You'll have one to one time together, with no phones, no rushing and no screens.

QUESTIONS
What if I'm a complete beginner?
Perfect. Most mums who come to me can only do a ponytail.
Will it really last a week?
That's the technique I created and teach. Braids that stay neat and pretty for the full week, when you braid them my way.
What if she says it hurts?
I'll show you how to braid gently, so it doesn't pull. That's one of the first things I teach.
What if my hair isn't suitable to practise on?
No problem. You'll still learn everything you need for her hair, and I'll tell you honestly what will work.
What age should my daughter be?
[Add your age guidance]
What if I'd prefer a lesson on my own?
No problem. Ask me about my solo lesson.
PS
You can keep fudging your way through a braid. But it probably won't last the day, it might hurt her head, and she'll stop letting you near it.
Or you can learn it properly, once, with me. So it lasts a full week, it feels comfy, and she asks you to do it again.
