Your attention turns toward the person or situation that triggered it, searching for something outside of you that will make the pain stop.
But there is another place you can go.
Inward.
The Abandonment Trigger Reset is a three-part guided audio experience designed to help you stop the abandonment spiral and return to calm, inner unity and choice in less than 15 minutes.
Put on your headphones, close your eyes and let me guide you.
1. Return to Calm
We begin by bringing your attention away from the trigger and back to yourself. We activate a return to call and your nervous system can then allow you to relax.
2. Return to Unity
You'll meet your inner family: your Shadow Protector, your inner child and you, the adult. You'll listen to what these parts of you want to share, offer them your presence and love, and experience the three of you together in unity.
3. Emergence
You'll emerge from the experience connected to your inner family and with a new way of meeting difficult moments. You'll learn to check in with the parts of yourself that have been stirred, listen to what they have to share, and choose how you want to respond from a place of calm and connection.
I created the Abandonment Trigger Reset because it is something I wish I had during the years I struggled with my own abandonment wound.
I know the stomach-churning anxiety of having that wound triggered. I know how quickly your attention can move outward, toward the person or situation, believing that if something changes there, you'll finally feel better here.
What I wanted in those moments was something I could reach for immediately. Something that would help me regulate myself, turn inward and move from that heavy state of pain into a better-feeling place.
Over time, I discovered that one of the quickest paths back to peace was through relationship with the parts of myself that were asking for my attention.
That is what I have created for you here.
A place to go when your abandonment wound is triggered.
A way to come back to yourself.
What happened to trigger you may still matter. But it doesn't have to control what you do next.

With love,
Valerie
