License to Booked

License to Booked

$47

Early Access: build your brand, portfolio and audience in beauty school, inside your state's student rules.

License first. Then booked.

Early Access: $47

Most "get booked on Instagram" advice is written for licensed pros. But as a student, you're working under your state board's licensing rules and your school's policies. In general, that means services only in school, no pay or tips, and being careful with booking language like "DM me to book." Following the wrong advice can put your hours and your license at risk.

License to Booked is split in two. The Student Phase is what you can do right now, inside your state's and your school's rules. The Licensed Phase is pricing, booking and getting clients, clearly labeled for use only after you pass boards and hold your license.

What you'll learn

  • What students can and can't post, and how to check your own state board's rules

  • Pick your lane and set up a handle, name and bio that grow with you from student to licensed pro

  • Build a portfolio from school work, mannequins and school-approved models

  • Take clean, honest before-and-after photos and short videos with just your phone

  • Get consent the right way: model releases, when not to post, and how to repost with credit

  • Grow a community that follows your road to licensed, with no sign-up lists, prices or booking

  • After you're licensed: choose salon vs. booth vs. suite, cost your services, set policies, set up booking, turn DMs into appointments, and build an honest review system

Who teaches it

I'm Allyson Goodman, founder of Socially, a social media agency based in Reno, Nevada. I run social media for a med spa, and I built the content for a lash academy as a creative. I see every day how a beauty business really gets booked, and I've seen the school side too.

Who it's for

Cosmetology, esthetics and nail students in the US, 18 and older, who want to graduate with a profile, a portfolio and people already following along. Newly licensed pros can use it too and jump to the Licensed Phase.

Who it's not for

Anyone looking for a way to take clients before they're licensed. This course won't teach that.

Refund policy

All sales are final. Because this is a digital product with instant access, no refunds are offered.

FAQ

Does this work in my state?

Yes, it's written for students in any US state. The rules lessons teach a simple framework (your state board's rules + your school's policy; the stricter one wins), and the State Rules Finder shows you where to find your board and what to look for. Rules differ by state, so you'll check yours as part of Module 0. Nevada students also get a Nevada Student Rules Guide with the exact citations.

What does "Early Access" mean?

All 35 lessons are available now as written lessons, along with the workbook, templates and guides. Video versions of the lessons are being filmed and will be added to the course over time at no extra cost.

I'm still in school. Can I use the Licensed Phase?

You can read it so you're ready, but don't use it until you've passed boards and your license is active. That means no prices, booking links, deposits or "DM me to book" posts while you're a student.

Will this get me clients?

It gives you a plan and the tools. Results depend on your work, your market and your consistency. No specific results are promised.

Is there an age requirement?

Yes, 18+.

Does my school require this course?

No. It's always optional. If your school is a partner, they may give you a school discount code to use at checkout.

Is this legal advice?

No. It's general education. Follow your state board's rules and your school's policies; when unsure, ask your instructor.

What's your refund policy?

All sales are final. Because this is a digital product with instant access, no refunds are offered.

How do I access it?

Right after checkout, through Stan.

Fine print

General education, not legal advice. The course summarizes licensing rules that are common for US cosmetology, esthetics and nail students, as of October 2026. Rules differ by state and can change. Follow your state board's rules and your school's policies; when your state or school is stricter, it wins. When unsure, ask your instructor or your state board. Results depend on your own work; no specific number of followers, clients or income is promised.
