*According to the NHS, women aged 19 to 49 need 14.8mg of iron per day. These recipes were put together to help you reach that across three meals and snacks. Iron totals show the amount of iron in the ingredients, in milligrams, not the amount your body will absorb. Absorption varies from person to person and depends on lots of things, including what you eat the iron with. Where possible, the recipes pair iron rich ingredients with vitamin C rich foods, which increase iron absorption.
