¡Hola!

I’m excited to offer Fun Day in Spanish this fall for families who need a creative and educational option on school holidays! Kids will enjoy a full day of fun, creativity, and Spanish immersion, even if they join for just one day.

🍂 Fall Fun Day Dates:

• Wednesday, November 11 (fee per day)

Time: 8:30 AM – 3:00 PM (if you need to drop 8am let me know)
Location: 235 Park St, North Reading, MA 01864 (Aldersgate United)
Ages: 4 – 8 years

Teachers:

• María Droguett – Spanish & Art

• + Assistant (if more than 8 kids enroll)

Teachers are native Spanish speakers, and guest teachers with different specialties may join.

Theme & Curriculum

Each Fun Day has a special theme designed to help children learn and apply Spanish vocabulary in real-life situations.
For example, if the theme is food, cooking & shopping, we first introduce the vocabulary, then children create a store through art, make “food” as crafts, and play pretend shopping games. This hands-on approach helps kids absorb and retain Spanish naturally.

Themes may include:

• Greetings & Calendar (weather, days, seasons, months)

• Cultural awareness & Hispanic countries

• Body parts & professions

• Animals of the world

• Food, cooking & shopping

• The city & the house

• Daily routines (bathroom, following directions & more)

Sample Daily Schedule

8:30 – 9:00 AM: Welcome & Relaxation 🌞

• Morning gratitude & mindfulness

• Animal-inspired yoga

• “Yo soy…” affirmations in Spanish

• Circle time introductions & greetings

9:00 – 9:30 AM: Snack & Bathroom Break 🍎

9:30 – 10:30 AM: Music 🎶

• Singing, rhythm, and instrument play

10:30 – 11:00 AM: Outdoor Play 🍂

11:30 AM – 12:30 PM: Spanish Language Circle 🔤

• Storytime & puppets

• Role-play and vocabulary practice

12:30 – 1:00 PM: Lunch Break (Kids bring nut-free lunch)

1:00 – 2:00 PM: Art & Cultural Exploration 🎨

• Hands-on projects inspired by the theme of the day

2:00 – 2:45 PM: Circle Time Sharing & Reflection

2:45 – 3:00 PM: Dismissal ✨

What Kids Need to Bring

• Comfortable, weather-appropriate clothing for outdoor play

• Extra set of clothes (just in case)

• Nut-free lunch & snacks
