This 2 day beginner friendly intensive training course is designed to teach you the foundations of professional weave sew ins while giving you the practical experience, techniques and business knowledge needed to build confidence and begin your hairstyling journey professionally.

Whether you’re starting from scratch or looking to improve your existing skills, this course is designed to help you develop your knowledge, technique and confidence.

WHAT YOU WILL LEARN

Sew In Installation

You will learn the foundational principles behind professional sew in installations, including foundation preparation, braid down techniques, sectioning, stitching, installation and finishing.

On Day 2, you will choose ONE sew in installation technique to complete hands on on your live model.

You can choose from:

• Classic middle part sew in

• Side part sew in

• Flip over sew in

• Faux middle part sew in

• 2 part sew in

Choosing one technique simply determines which installation you will complete hands on with your live model on Day 2. It does not mean that your course is limited to only that one technique.

Day 1 will give you the opportunity to understand and practise the core foundations and techniques on a mannequin head, helping you understand how different sew in installations are structured.

Your Pro Sew In Handbook will also provide additional guidance, foundational information and instructions for the other sew in variations and braid down methods, allowing you to continue developing your skills after the training.

Styling Techniques

As you will be working on one live model, you will also choose ONE styling technique to learn and complete during Day 2.

You can choose from:

• Extreme heavy layers

• Subtle layers

• Face framing layers

Your chosen styling technique will be taught and completed hands on on your live model.

The other styling techniques will not be completed practically on the live model. However, your course handbook will provide additional guidance and information to help you understand the different layering techniques and continue developing your skills.

You will choose one sew in installation technique and one styling technique for your live model. This allows us to dedicate enough time to each technique and provide proper hands on guidance without rushing through the practical training.

WHAT’S INCLUDED

Expert Training

Learn step by step from a qualified hairstylist educator with 7+ years of industry experience.

Day 1: Theory, Foundations & Mannequin Practice

Day 1 is all about building a strong foundation and understanding the principles behind a professional sew in installation.

We will work through your Pro Sew In Handbook together, covering the essential knowledge you need before working on a live model.

You will learn about:

• Sew in fundamentals and installation principles

• Health and safety

• Client preparation and consultation

• Hair and scalp considerations

• Product knowledge and preparation

• Foundation and braid down techniques

• Sectioning and positioning

• Stitching techniques

• Leave out preparation

• Understanding different sew in variations

• Professional tools and equipment

You will also complete guided practical exercises on a mannequin head, allowing you to understand and practise the foundations of a sew in in a controlled environment.

The aim of Day 1 is to help you understand why each step is important, build your confidence with the techniques and prepare you for your live model training on Day 2.

By the end of Day 1, you will have a stronger understanding of the theory, safety, preparation and foundational techniques that support a professional sew in installation.

Day 2: Live Model Training

On Day 2, you will complete a full sew in installation on a live model using your chosen sew in technique.

You will also complete your chosen styling technique while receiving step by step guidance throughout the installation, styling and finishing process.

The focus is on hands on practical learning, allowing you to put the knowledge and techniques from Day 1 into practice.

Please note: As there is one live model, you will choose one sew in installation technique and one styling technique to complete practically on Day 2. The additional sew in variations, braid down methods and styling techniques are supported through your course handbook so you can continue learning and practising beyond the training.

COURSE TIMINGS

Day 1: 12:00PM to 6:00PM

Day 2: 11:00AM to 4:00PM

Please ensure you are available for both consecutive training days.

Please also allow flexibility with timings, as sessions may occasionally run over to ensure you feel confident, supported and able to learn as much as possible without feeling rushed.
