Get Honest Feedback on Your Manuscript

The Problem

You've written your first 10 pages (or more). You're proud of it. But you also know something's off.

Is it the dialogue? The pacing? The voice? You can't tell because you're too close to it.

You need someone who can read it cold and tell you what's actually working—and what needs work.

Someone who understands craft. Someone who's been there. Someone who won't just be nice about it.

What You Get

A 30-Minute Manuscript Feedback Session ($75)

You send me your first 10 pages. I read them carefully—marking where the prose shines, where it stutters, where your reader will be hooked.

Then we hop on a call and I give you:

✅ What's working - Seriously. I tell you what you did right so you know to keep doing it.

✅ The top 3 things holding your manuscript back - Not everything. Just the top 3 that, if you fix them, change everything.

✅ Specific, actionable feedback - Not vague. Not nice. Specific. "This dialogue tag is invisible—keep using it." Or "This scene needs a sensory detail." Or "Your opening is burying the story—move this up."

✅ Written action plan - Exactly what to fix, in what order, with specific techniques to use.

Who This Is For

You're a good fit if:

  • You've written at least 10 pages

  • You know something needs work but can't figure out what

  • You want feedback from someone who understands craft (not just cheerleading)

  • You're willing to hear honest feedback and actually use it

  • You have 30 minutes in the next week to meet

This is NOT for you if:

  • You haven't started writing yet (start first, then come back)

  • You need a cheerleader or someone to tell you it's good (ask your mom)

  • You want line-by-line editing (that's a different service)

  • You want a full manuscript review (I'll be honest, I'm not the one.)

What Makes This Different

Other feedback services give you generic comments: "Good job!" or "Show, don't tell." They read it fast and give surface-level notes.

I give you feedback like I'd give to a fellow MFA student—specific, craft-focused, and rooted in actual story problems.

I've read hundreds of pages as both a ghostwriter and an MFA student. I know what works and what doesn't. More importantly, I know why.

The Process

Step 1: You Send Email me your first 10 pages (single-spaced, any genre, any stage of draft). Include a one-sentence summary of your story.

Step 2: I Read I read your pages carefully. I mark what works. I identify the top 3 issues. I take notes on specific fixes.

This takes me about 90 minutes. I don't skim. I don't give surface-level feedback.

Step 3: We Talk We jump on a 30-minute call. I walk you through the feedback. You ask questions. I give specific examples and techniques.

This is a real conversation, not a lecture.

Step 4: You Get the Goods

  • Written action plan (specific tasks to fix the top 3 issues)

  • My reading notes (marked-up version of your pages)

Step 5: You Execute You go back to your manuscript and actually use the feedback. Most writers see immediate improvement.

Real Talk

This session won't fix your entire manuscript. That's not its job.

Its job is to:

  • Tell you what's working (so you can do more of it)

  • Identify the biggest problems (so you know what to fix first)

  • Give you specific techniques (so you can actually fix them)

  • Get you unstuck (so you can keep writing)

After this session, you'll know exactly what to do next.

FAQ

Q: What if I send you 12 pages instead of 10? A: Send up to 15. Anything over 15, I can't read carefully in my prep time.

Q: What if my manuscript is poetry/short stories/experimental? A: Send it. I work with all genres and formats.

Q: Can I get feedback on my dialogue? My pacing? My character development? A: Yes. Just send the pages and tell me what you're most worried about in the email. I'll focus my reading there.

Q: What if I don't like the feedback? A: That's okay. Not every feedback resonates with every writer. But I promise it will be honest and useful, even if it's hard to hear.

Q: Can I do this before I finish my manuscript? A: Yes. In fact, I recommend it. Getting feedback early helps you finish stronger.

Q: Do you give line-by-line edits? A: Not in this service. This is big-picture feedback. If you want line-by-line editing, that's a different conversation.

Q: How long until you get back to me? A: I read submissions within 5 business days. We schedule the call within 7 days after that. The whole process takes less than 2 weeks.

How to Book

Ready?

  1. Click the button below to schedule your session

  2. Choose a time that works for you (we'll do a quick call setup email to confirm)

  3. Receive the pre-call instructions (where to send your pages, what to include)

  4. Send your manuscript by the due date

  5. We meet on your scheduled date

After our call, you'll have a written action plan and a clear next step.

Most writers tell me: "I needed to hear exactly that. Now I know what to fix."

One More Thing

This feedback is only valuable if you actually use it.

I'm giving you specific tools and a clear action plan. But the work is yours.

If you're the type of writer who reads feedback and then never looks at the manuscript again, this isn't for you.

But if you're someone who's serious about finishing your book and willing to put in the work, let's do this.
