My 18K Rose Gold Alloy Recipe
This is the proprietary 18 karat rose gold blend I use in my own hand fabricated jewelry.
I began mixing my own alloys because the commercially prepared varieties weren’t giving me what I needed for the kind of hand fabrication I do at my bench.
In this guide, I’m giving you the recipe I use and showing you how to calculate it for different batch sizes, maintain the proper 18K balance, and adjust the tone of the rose.
Inside, you’ll get:
• My exact 18K rose gold alloy recipe
• The percentages and purities of the metals I use
• Batch measurements for 10g, 25g, 50g, and 100g
• How I maintain the proper 18K balance
• How to use fine silver within the alloy to adjust the tone of the rose
• Important information about working with this alloy
• A bench notes page for recording your batches and results
This is one of the proprietary alloys I use at my own bench and a part of my collection of precious metal alloy recipes.
