We feel so lucky to have met Aglaya! Our kids absolutely adore her and our 8-year-old son looks forward to each of her lessons. We started in-person, just before the pandemic, and it wasn't clear how well this would transfer over to zoom. However, Aglaya hadn't missed a beat. (no pun intended) Her lessons remained just as instructive, exciting, and engaging as they had been and our son has progressed a great deal over the past year, whereas before we met Aglaya, he had a lot of false starts. After an almost 50 year "break" from piano lessons, I found Aglaya. For the last year and a half, she has shown me that it's never too late to learn. She knows how to craft a perfect lesson - the right balance of theory with new and familiar pieces. She uses technology brilliantly - to efficiently offer lessons in my time zone, to send homework and customize examples. I didn't believe lessons over Zoom could work - but she has mastered this method! Great use of our time. I am one of Aglaya's adult students and have been getting lessons from her for around 6 months now. I leave every lesson we have with a ton of new knowledge, clear direction on how to improve, and inspired to play! I have made a profound improvement in my ability to read music, technique, timing, music theory, and even performing. You see, on top of drastically improving my skills in playing the piano, Aglaya also encouraged me to perform for the first time at the recital she hosts. I can't say in words how happy I am that I began taking lessons with Aglaya. I went from having never completed a full song by myself to performing a full song infront of a crowd.
