COMPLETE PACKING LIST | Baby & Toddler Gear

The honest truth about packing for a baby that nobody with a sponsored post will tell you:

Before our first big trip with Peanut, I did what every new parent does. I went deep into Instagram. I saved reels. I made lists. I filled online carts and then abandoned them because the total was terrifying. I asked friends. I googled "what do I need to travel with a baby" at 11pm and came away more overwhelmed than when I started.

The baby travel gear market is enormous, and it exists for a reason: new parents are anxious, they want to feel prepared, and buying things feels like doing something. I get it. I lived it. And I am not here to shame anyone for it.

But after almost three years of traveling with Peanut through national parks, across Europe, on trains, in tiny rental cars, and through Airbnbs with winding staircases and no elevator, here is what I know for certain:

The more stuff you bring, the harder travel gets.

That is not a hot take. That is just physics. Every extra bag is something to carry through an airport, wrestle into an overhead bin, drag across cobblestones, or leave behind in a hotel room at 5am when you are half asleep and running for a connection. Every specialty item you packed "just in case" is dead weight when the just in case never happens.

The goal of packing is not to recreate your nursery at your destination. The goal is to have what you genuinely need to keep your baby safe, fed, clean, and comfortable. Everything else is negotiable.
