Recovery from psychosis, schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, or the after-effects of psychosis is rarely about just one thing. You may know that something isn’t quite right, but feel unsure about what is keeping you stuck, what you can actually change, or where to begin.
This session is an opportunity to step back and explore what we can work on together. It can build on an introductory session we’ve already had, or simply continue where we left off.
Depending on what you need, this is what we can do together:
Understanding your personal stress and vulnerability patterns
Nervous system regulation and grounding
Sleep and recovery
Coping with anxiety, overwhelm, or emotional activation
Understanding and working with after-effects such as anhedonia or disconnection
Relationships, boundaries, and social connection
Your environment and daily routines
Strengthening protective factors and sources of stability
Making sense of past experiences and how they may still affect you
Finding practical ways to support your recovery and move forward
We won’t try to tackle everything at once. We’ll focus on what feels most relevant to you right now and identify realistic steps you can take from there.
Drawing on my 7 years of lived experience with psychosis, current scientific understanding, recovery-oriented perspectives, and somatic coaching principles, I’ll help you connect the dots between what you’re experiencing and the areas we can work with.
You’ll leave with a clearer understanding of what may be influencing your recovery, what you can work on, and where to start.
Depending on what we explore, you may also leave with practical tools such as grounding or nervous system regulation exercises, strategies for managing stress, ways to strengthen protective factors, or a personalised plan for your next steps.
After this session, you can choose to continue with regular peer support coaching sessions.
Nothing is too strange, difficult, or unusual to talk about. I’m not here to tell you what to believe or decide what your experiences mean.
I’m here to listen, understand, and explore them with you.
