I got into EVERY college I applied to, earned $600k in scholarships (including a full ride to Vanderbilt), and became a U.S. Presidential Scholar.

Yet I didn't found a nonprofit OR win national STEM awards.
What I DID do was write great essays that convinced colleges of my value.
And now I have helped 1,000+ students do the same, getting them into schools like Penn, Cornell, NYU, Rice, Vanderbilt, UC Berkeley, Georgia Tech, UCLA, and Georgetown.
Most students who come to me already have a draft. They've read it so many times that they can't tell anymore whether it's working, and everyone they've shown it to has said it's good, which is lovely to hear and tells them absolutely nothing about what to change.
This is me reading it and telling you exactly what to change.
You send me your essay, and within 48 hours it comes back with notes on the actual sentences. Where the reader loses the thread. Which paragraph is carrying the essay and which one is just restating the paragraph above it. What the ending is promising that the opening never set up.
And for every one of those, you get the replacement wording written out in your own voice, instead of a note that just says to add more detail.
Why there are no calls
Almost every student I work with is in school until three and then has practice or a job or a sibling to pick up, and I'm booked most evenings, so the two of us trying to find a half hour that works can genuinely take longer than the essay does.
This runs on your schedule instead of mine. There's nothing to book and nothing to reschedule. Send it at midnight if midnight is when you write.
How it works
You'll get a link when you buy. You paste in a Google Doc and I send it back with written notes inside 48 hours. That's one review. You revise, send it again, and that's your second.
What's included
Four written reviews of your Common App essay
Every review back within 48 hours
A full structural read the first time you send it: whether your opening promises what your ending delivers, and whether each paragraph builds on the one before it or just sits next to it
Line edits with the replacement sentence written out, never a note telling you to go fix it
Email access the whole time for the quick questions that come up while you're revising
Your Common App essay counts as one review however long it is, so if your first draft is 900 words and needs cutting, that's completely normal and it still only counts as one.
Four is usually plenty. For most students that's a structural read on the first draft, two rounds of real revision, and a final polish. If you run out, you can add more at $49 each, and most people don't.

If you don't have anything written yet, or you have three ideas and no idea which one is worth writing, this isn't the right thing for you to buy.
Figuring out what to write about goes so much faster out loud, because I can ask you the follow up question that gets you from a topic that seems fine to the story you actually needed to tell. Book a call for that part. You can always come back here once you have words on the page.
At highly selective colleges, many applicants have strong grades and test scores, so essays help admissions readers tell students apart.
84 of the top 100 schools rate essays as “very important” or “important" to admissions decisions (Forbes)
Essays can get students into reach schools; 3 in 4 students with strong essays get accepted at one or more selective colleges where their academic profile is below the average admitted student (Prompt Admissions Counseling)
Essays play a big role in students receiving merit scholarships or honors like becoming a National Merit Finalist or U.S. Presidential Scholar
A strong essay can be the factor that helps one qualified student stand out from another.
I get results. I have helped 1,000+ students write essays that got them into their dream schools like Cornell, Penn, NYU, Rice, Vanderbilt, Georgia Tech, UC Berkeley, UCLA, and Georgetown.
Here is what my strategy got me:
Accepted into EVERY college I applied to, including highly selective schools like NYU (7.7%), Rice (7.9%), and Georgia Tech (10% OOS)
$260K full ride scholarship to Vanderbilt University, awarded to only a few applicants across the entire pool of students who apply to Vanderbilt
$25K/year Presidential Scholarship at the University of Miami
$20K/year Gator Nation Scholarship at the University of Florida + accepted to the UF Honors Program (6% acceptance)
$2,500 National Merit Scholarship, only given to 2,500 of the 15,000 National Merit Finalists based on an essay-based application submitted by Finalists
Named one of 161 U.S. Presidential Scholars by the Department of Education, the highest honor a high school student can receive in the United States

Full tuition scholarship to NYU Shanghai, worth $71,500 a year
Full ride to NYU, housing included
Accepted to Penn, and to UC Berkeley with a Regents Scholarship
Accepted to Dartmouth, Cornell, Tufts, Bowdoin, UNC and UT
Accepted to Cornell ILR, plus $10K+ scholarships at UF and Indiana Kelley
Accepted to Rice
Accepted to Michigan, UCLA, UCSD, Emory and Vanderbilt with the Crescere Aude Scholarship
Accepted to West Point
Accepted to the University of Pittsburgh with a 3.18 GPA, which the student called a reach, and she believes her essay is what got her in

After coaching 1,000+ students through this process, I know how overwhelming it feels to wonder whether your essays are good enough.
By the time we are done, you will not have to wonder. Your Common App essay will be polished, purposeful, and ready to submit. You will know it is done and it is good.
That is the peace of mind I would love to give you.
