The 10 skills in this guide are some of the most important skills a child can learn before growing up.
While children learn reading, writing, and math in school, many of the skills that help them thrive in everyday life are often overlooked. Skills like communication, kindness, confidence, responsibility, friendship, leadership, problem-solving, and respect are the foundation for success in relationships, school, work, and life.
The good news is that these skills are not traits children are simply born with.
They can be taught.
Just like learning to read or ride a bike, children can learn how to communicate confidently, show kindness, build friendships, solve problems, take responsibility, and connect with others.
When children are taught these skills early, they gain confidence, develop stronger relationships, and become better prepared for the opportunities and challenges they will face throughout life.
My hope is that this guide inspires more parents, grandparents, teachers, and caring adults to intentionally teach these important life skills to the children they love.
And if you find yourself thinking, "Kids really need these skills," you are right.
That is exactly why I created my Life Skills Coaching Course for Kids.
If you feel called to help children learn the skills in this guide, you may want to explore becoming a Life Skills Coach for Kids. As a coach, you can teach these meaningful lessons in your community while making a lasting difference in the lives of children and families.
You do not need a teaching degree. You simply need a heart for helping kids and a desire to see them thrive.
One Child. One Family. One Life Skill at a Time.
