Make trick-or-treating more accessible with a simple, portable AAC communication option!
This Halloween AAC resource includes printable picture icons designed to pair with a recordable answer buzzer. Record a message such as “Trick or treat!” or “Thank you!”, attach the matching visual to the buzzer, and give the learner an easy way to communicate while trick-or-treating. The buzzer can be carried or attached directly to a Halloween bucket or trick-or-treat bag for quick access.

This resource can be helpful for:
Autistic children
AAC users
Minimally speaking learners
Non-speaking learners
and other children who may benefit from an alternative way to participate in Halloween traditions!
How to Use: Print and cut out the picture icon you want to use. Laminate it for added durability if desired. Record the corresponding message on a recordable answer buzzer, then attach the picture icon to the top of the buzzer using your preferred removable fastener.
During trick-or-treating, the learner can press the buzzer to say their recorded message. Attach the buzzer to a trick-or-treat bucket or bag, or allow the learner to carry it.
This can provide another way to participate without requiring spoken communication to say “trick or treat” or “thank you.”
