I’ve had the privilege of learning from Aubrey through her course as well as a one-to-one birth debrief session, and I cannot recommend her highly enough. She has such a genuinely caring presence, and her ability to listen with compassion immediately makes you feel supported and understood. What stood out most to me, though, was her highly diplomatic and pragmatic approach to birth work. She brings a calm, sensible perspective that holds space for the emotional side of birth while also keeping things grounded and realistic. Her wisdom and balance have been invaluable for me in reflecting on my own experiences and learning how best to support families. Aubrey combines heart and head in such a thoughtful way, and I feel very grateful to have had the chance to work with her.

My only regret working with Aubrey is not calling her sooner! Somehow I stumbled upon her IG page and quickly realized I found the missing birth education I so desperately needed. I devoured her Substack articles & quickly started purchasing her classes. I watched each class multiple times.. what impressed me most was how simple and accessible her birth education is. I scheduled a call w/her around 37 weeks to discuss some swelling I was experiencing and breastfeeding questions I had. She gave me so much clarity & comfort during the call. I genuinely appreciate her matter of fact answers. I went into labor confidently & by day 2 a couple of things came up that my husband and I decided to call her again to confirm we could remain at home & proceed. She didn’t have to take me on last minute but she called us back & assured us every thing was totally normal & encouraged me to lock in because baby was coming soon! I am so grateful that she prioritizes mental fortitude in her education because that was all I needed once she cleared up our questions & encouraged us we were good to stay home. I had a wonderful experience and I knew what to do as soon as she came - it was clear baby girl was thriving! She continued to check in with me postpartum and it was so nice to talk with her and get all my questions answered. I look forward to working with her during my next pregnancy and I’m so grateful to her for providing affordable birth education & support.

I reached out to Aubrey during my first trimester of my third pregnancy (first birth at home) to see if I would be a good candidate for a self directed birth. I had interviewed many home birth midwives within that last year and knew they weren’t the right fit for me and my family. During our first phone call, Aubrey and I discussed in length all the ways that made me a good fit for having a self directed birth and I knew immediately that I wanted her in my corner for my pregnancy, birth and postpartum. As my pregnancy continued, Aubrey helped me unlearn and relearn everything I knew about physiological birth and beyond. She was always so generous with her time and teaching. We really honed in on my ‘why’ for why I wanted a self directed birth to begin with and focused greatly on the purposeful pain that comes with birth. I greatly attributed those two things for getting me through my extremely quick, intense labor and birth. But in hindsight it was all of it: the education, the nutrition, the lifestyle, the support from Aubrey, my husband educating himself alongside me during the whole pregnancy is really what got me to that moment safely. I delivered a perfectly healthy baby at 40+3 and I was grateful to have Aubrey to call 24/7. Having her on the phone immediately post birth felt relieving. Knowing that there was another woman who walked this path before and understood exactly what I was going through on the other line was exactly what I needed.

I found Aubrey through a friend online who recommended her page when I was preparing for my first birth. I knew I wanted an unassisted birth, but so much of the information out there felt vague and extremely unhelpful. A lot of “trust your instincts” and “everything is a variation of normal,” without any real physiological education behind it. I knew there had to be deeper education based off of physiology that I needed to understand in order to be properly prepared for my first birth. Aubrey’s knowledge is truly incomparable to any other unassisted birth education (or birth education in general) I’ve come across. She places such a strong emphasis on proper education for physiological birth and is honest and realistic throughout the entire process. She doesn’t sugarcoat risks or complications, but instead encourages continued research, discernment, and responsibility. This allowed me to enter labor with a sense of confidence and surrender throughout my entire pregnancy/labor & delivery/ postpartum journey. She also helps you recognize and remove the people and influences that can be real disturbances to physiological birth. Thanks to her support and education I had a very successful and extremely straightforward birth with my first & I’m so grateful! In addition, I also purchased her self directed birth course a few months ago while preparing for my second birth & the depth of education is incredible. It’s extremely detailed and has only continued to highlight how disconnected modern culture is from true physiological birth. I also deeply appreciate her emphasis on nutrition and her belief that nothing in pregnancy happens randomly. If a complication arises, it’s often rooted in nutrition and lifestyle & I don’t think people realize how dang important nutrition is to a positive pregnancy and birth experience. Thanks to her, I switched from raw cow’s milk to raw goat’s milk and now drink around two gallons a week, which has been incredible throughout this pregnancy!! I genuinely don’t think there’s anyone else out there as well-versed, honest, and thorough when it comes to preparing women for unassisted birth. I recommend Aubrey wholeheartedly!
