Yoga is a practice that extends beyond physical postures. It brings together movement, breath, meditation, and intention to support the whole person.
My approach draws from the traditional teachings of yoga, incorporating multiple branches of the practice rather than focusing on a single style. Every session includes pranayama (breathing practices), asana (yoga postures), meditation, and intention, creating a complete practice tailored to your needs, experience, and goals.
Through this integrated approach, you can build strength and flexibility, improve mobility and balance, develop concentration, work with everyday stress, and deepen your connection with yourself.
Sessions are available for teens and adults, in your home or at my home studio.
One-on-One Private Yoga
Each session is designed around your body, your experience, and what you want to cultivate through yoga. Whether you're new to the practice or have years of experience, you'll receive individualized instruction and modifications suited to your needs.
Pranayama | Breathing practices
Explore traditional yogic breathing techniques to develop breath awareness, support relaxation, and improve concentration. These practices offer tools you can use in everyday life to manage stress and respond more thoughtfully to challenging situations.
Asana | Traditional yoga postures
Practice traditional yoga postures alongside mobility exercises to develop strength, flexibility, balance, posture, and range of motion. Individualized instruction helps you refine alignment, explore modifications, and build a practice suited to your physical abilities.
Meditation | Training your attention
Develop the ability to direct your attention, observe your thoughts, and make space for reflection. Meditation can support concentration, self-awareness, and a greater understanding of your mental and emotional patterns.
Intention | Bringing purpose to your practice
Each session incorporates intention, connecting your practice with what matters to you. Whether you want to cultivate patience, confidence, self-trust, or a deeper spiritual connection, intention gives your practice a personal focus.
Together, these elements support physical health, mental focus, emotional well-being, and spiritual growth.
Private Group Yoga
Share the practice with family, friends, or a group through a personalized yoga experience.
Group sessions incorporate pranayama, asana, meditation, and intention, with instruction adapted to the participants' needs and experience. Sessions offer an opportunity to build strength and flexibility, learn breathing techniques, develop focus, and experience the benefits of practicing together.
Private group sessions are available for families, teens, friends, private gatherings, and workplace wellness experiences.
Pricing varies according to group size and session requirements.
Monthly Private Yoga
Establish a regular practice with four private sessions each month.
Consistent practice gives you time to refine postures, develop strength and mobility, explore different pranayama techniques, and deepen your meditation practice. Each session builds on your progress and individual goals, supporting ongoing physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual well-being.
Your monthly package includes four personalized sessions, scheduled in advance.
Yoga for Athletes & Sports Teams
Yoga can complement athletic training by helping athletes develop flexibility, mobility, balance, body awareness, and concentration. Combining traditional yoga postures, mobility exercises, pranayama, and relaxation gives athletes additional tools to support their physical performance and overall well-being.
Sessions are adapted to the sport, age group, and physical demands of the athletes. Practices may focus on improving range of motion, developing balance and stability, easing muscle tension after training, and cultivating the mental focus needed in competition.
Having taught soccer and basketball teams, I understand the value of adapting yoga to active bodies and the demands of sport. Sessions can be tailored for individual athletes, youth teams, and groups looking to complement their existing training.
Yoga for Children & Families
Yoga for children is playful, creative, and full of opportunities to explore. Through yoga games, storytelling, nature-inspired activities, movement, and imagination, children discover yoga in a way that feels engaging and age-appropriate.
Sessions may include animal-inspired yoga postures, stories that come to life through movement, breathing games, guided relaxation, and activities that encourage creativity and cooperation.
Along the way, children develop body awareness, balance, coordination, focus, and emotional awareness while learning practical breathing and relaxation techniques. The emphasis is on curiosity, play, and helping children build a positive relationship with movement and well-being.
With experience teaching children as young as three, I adapt each session to the group's age, interests, and developmental needs. Family sessions offer an opportunity for children and adults to learn, move, and enjoy the practice together.
A Practice Shaped by Experience
I completed my yoga teacher training at Tejas Yoga Studio in Chicago in 2011 and went on to earn certifications in Child & Family Yoga through Global Family Yoga and Therapeutic Yoga for Kids. I have been teaching regularly since 2012 and am also an Ayurvedic Yoga Specialist.
I launched my first business teaching yoga to children and families and later developed a yoga program within Chicago Public Schools (CPS). Throughout my teaching career, I've worked with individuals, families, groups, and soccer and basketball teams, teaching people ranging in age from 3 to 70.
This experience has shaped my ability to adapt yoga to different ages, abilities, and needs while honoring the depth of the practice. My teaching draws from multiple branches of traditional yoga, bringing together physical postures, breathing practices, meditation, and intention in each session.
My goal is to help you develop a practice that supports your life beyond the mat, from physical strength and mobility to mental focus, emotional awareness, and spiritual connection.
