Bring your teen to my free, hands-on College Essay Workshop today in Lakewood Ranch. I will help your teen find a story worth telling, write the first page, and learn how to reuse that same story for scholarship essays, which is how one strong essay starts paying for college.
Who I am
I'm Angela Robles, and I'm a college counselor. I have spent more than twenty-five years in education and the last six years helping families through college applications. I have worked with hundreds of students, and they have been admitted to schools like UChicago, UCLA, NYU, and Princeton. No one can promise any student an admission. What I can promise is that I do this work every day, and I know what makes an essay stand out.
Your teen will leave with:
• An essay topic that fits who they are
• The first page of a real draft, written during the workshop
• A method they can use again for every scholarship essay
Your family will also receive:
• A simple fall plan for paying for college
• A list of vetted local scholarships
• Free early access to Scholarship Scout, my tool for finding scholarships worth your teen's time
The workshop is today, Sunday, September 20, from 2:30 to 4:00 PM Eastern. You can join us in person at the Lakewood Ranch Branch Library, or you can join live on Zoom from home. If you choose Zoom, your link will arrive in your confirmation email right after you register.
The workshop works best for 11th and 12th graders, and parents and teens should come together.
Free. Bring your teen. Registration is required.
