What level should I be comfortable with to join the challenge?
I designed these choreos with beginner poses.
What that means is you need to be comfortable with foot locks, climbing, and doing a Hip Key from a Russian Climb Entry. I won’t be teaching you the basics on silks. Instead, I will help you understand how to make the basics flow.
Do I need to be able to do a straddle invert/fan-kick Hip Key?
No. You don’t need to be able to do a straddle invert. Or a fan-kick Hip Key. While we will be entering these positions, I have adjusted the choreos to help you enter these skills more easily.
What if I can’t finish all of the choreos by the end of the challenge?
You will be able to access a document with links to the choreos afterward, so you can always come back and revisit them. I do ask for some feedback before you get the document to make sure I can continue to make this an experience you enjoy.
The only thing you miss out on is the opportunity to be able to win back your money.
How much available height do I need to complete the choreos?
I complete all of the choreos in 1.5x my height in available fabric length. However, I do recommend that you have at least 2x your height if you are still a beginner on silks. This is especially important for the flows in weeks 3 and 4 since I use strength to avoid losing height.
Do I need to have access to my own Silks?
You don’t need to have access to your own silks; you can complete the choreos at an open practice. However, I do recommend spending a bit more time practicing it, since it’s more about refining your movement than just nailing poses. A good way to make this work is to watch the videos before trying it at open practice.
