I’ve always known that I couldn’t imagine myself in a 9–5 👩🏻💻 job forever.
Not because I hated corporate life — but because I couldn’t picture clocking in every Monday to Friday in my 40s or 50s, waiting for weekends to feel like myself again.
When I graduated, I earned $2,700/month (before CPF) at my first full-time job.
It wasn’t much, but it taught me how to stretch every dollar, save consistently, and make small, intentional financial decisions that would eventually lead to big shifts.
Over the years, that grew into saving $100,000 before 27 ➡️ leaving corporate ➡️ and building my creator business — which now brings in a five-figure monthly income.
But this space isn’t about “look what I did.” It’s about the how, the why, and the in-between: the seasons of uncertainty, the mindset changes, and the financial systems that made it possible.
Today, I’m on what Paul Millard calls the pathless path — where “retirement” isn’t a finish line, but a way of living where work and life are aligned.
I’m not an overnight success. I believe in showing up, putting your work out there, and trusting that over time, something will hit.
I’m not here to sell dreams. But if you’re curious, open, and willing to learn — I promise you’ll walk away with ideas, clarity, and mindset shifts that actually last.
This journal isn’t just about numbers — it’s about the story behind them. Every decision I make with money is tied to something deeper: freedom, purpose, balance, and the kind of life I want to build.
Here, you’ll find:
🌼 Life & Career Journey — my story of navigating work, depression, career changes, and the choices that shaped how I view money and freedom today.
💰 Money Management — how I plan, save, and track my finances — from budgeting systems to the tools that help me stay consistent.
📈 Investing & Wealth Building — how I started investing with what little I earned at my full-time job, the thought process behind my choices, and how I continue growing my portfolio today.
🪴 Creator Business — what it’s really like building a five-figure creator business from scratch — behind the scenes of sponsorships, brand partnerships, and managing business finances.
🌿 Mindset & Growth — reflections, core values and redefining success beyond job titles and income goals.
🔧 Tools & Resources — the trackers, websites, platforms and frameworks that support everything I do.
💬 I built this space for anyone who’s trying to figure it out as they go — learning to manage money while finding their own rhythm in life and work.
If that’s you, welcome in 💌
Take your time, explore, and pick up what resonates.
I wanted this Journal to be a space that’s intimate, honest, and genuinely helpful — not just another subscription. Each week, I write real entries across different chapters, depending on what’s happening in life or business that week. Some weeks it’s a mindset shift, others it’s a money decision, a creator-business lesson, or a quiet reflection from my personal diary.
$17.90/month allows me to keep this space small, intentional, and filled with people who are here for the journey — while giving me the time to write deeply, create useful tools, and share the behind-the-scenes in a way I don’t on YouTube or IG.
As the community grows, I’ll also be hosting Zoom Q&A sessions and eventually in-person group meet-ups when I’m back in Singapore. I want this to evolve into a space where we can learn, connect, and grow together — not just through reading, but through real conversations.
And I completely understand that not everyone wants a monthly subscription — so there’s no pressure at all. You can cancel anytime, take a break, and come back whenever it feels right for you.
Access to the Journal will simply be removed once your membership ends, and restored again whenever you return.
This space is here for you, at your own pace, whenever you’re ready. 💛
This space is for you if you’ve ever thought:
“I want to take control of my money — but I don’t even know where to start.”
“I want to start investing, but it feels confusing and overwhelming.”
“I can’t imagine doing the 9–5 corporate routine for the rest of my life.”
“I want to build something that actually means something — on my own terms.”
If you’ve ever felt any of that, you’re not alone.
I’ve been there too — earning $2,700 / month, trying to save for my first $10K, googling how to invest, and wondering if it’s even possible to build a life that feels mine. 😭
Looking at where I am now and how I was feeling back then, I dare say it’s possible!
This space is for people who want to:
🌱 Be intentional with their money — not just chase the highest interest rate or stock tip.
💬 Learn through real examples and honest reflections, not financial jargon.
⏰ Build wealth slowly and sustainably, even while juggling a full-time job or side hustle.
🧭 Explore life beyond the 9–5, and what freedom really means for them.
🤝 Be part of a space that values transparency over perfection.
Because money isn’t just about growing numbers — it’s about designing a life you don’t need to escape from.
And through this journal, I hope you find stories, systems, and mindset shifts that help you do exactly that.
This isn’t a place for “get rich quick” ideas, hot stock tips, or one-size-fits-all financial advice.
If you’re looking for exact answers on what to invest in — like which REIT, which bank stock, or which ETF — this isn’t that kind of space.
But if you’re here to learn the thinking process behind those decisions — how I evaluate risk, balance emotion and logic, and build habits that last — you’ll get a lot more out of this.
This journal is also not a magic fix.
If you want change, it’ll still come down to you — your effort, consistency, and willingness to keep showing up, even when it’s slow.
That you can start small. That you don’t need to have it all figured out. And that it’s okay if your version of success looks different from everyone else’s.
I hope that through this journal, you’ll see that managing money isn’t just about hitting milestones — it’s about finding peace, confidence, and purpose along the way.
You don’t have to know everything to begin. You just have to begin — even if it’s messy, uncertain, or slow.
Because one day, you’ll look back — just like I do now — and realise that every small decision, every late-night Google search, and every “I’ll try again next month” moment added up to something bigger than you imagined.
So take your time. Learn at your own pace. And remember: your journey with money is meant to support your life, not control it. 🌿
