TERMS AND CONDITIONS & INFORMED CONSENT

PLEASE READ THESE TERMS CAREFULLY BEFORE JOINING

By purchasing and accessing the Somatic Wellness Collective (SWC) membership, you signify your consent to these Terms and Conditions and Informed Consent. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not purchase or use this membership.

I. NATURE AND SCOPE OF SERVICES

1. Educational Purpose

The SWC classes, modules, and content are for psychoeducational purposes only and are not a substitute for professional mental health treatment or therapy. While the content may complement ongoing therapy, it is not intended to replace individual therapeutic work.

2. Not Therapy

These classes do not constitute a therapeutic relationship. Dr. Christine Baker is acting as an educator, not as a therapist, within this context. Participants should not disclose detailed personal information or trauma histories in group settings or the community.

3. Supplemental Resource

This program is designed to provide supportive information and techniques around nervous system regulation and trauma recovery. It does not address specific trauma content or provide individualized treatment plans.

4. No Guarantees of Results

While SWC aims to provide valuable information and techniques, no specific results or outcomes can be guaranteed. THE COMPANY DOES NOT WARRANT OR MAKE ANY REPRESENTATIONS OR GUARANTEES THAT YOU WILL ACHIEVE ANY SPECIFIC HEALTH OUTCOMES, HEALING, OR LIFE CHANGES USING SWC CONTENT OR SERVICES. YOUR RESULTS ARE ENTIRELY DEPENDENT ON YOUR OWN COMMITMENT, PRACTICE, PERSONAL CIRCUMSTANCES, AND INDIVIDUAL NERVOUS SYSTEM RESPONSES. SINCE THESE FACTORS DIFFER AMONG ALL INDIVIDUALS, THE COMPANY CANNOT AND DOES NOT WARRANT OR MAKE ANY REPRESENTATIONS OR GUARANTEES REGARDING YOUR SUCCESS OR OUTCOMES.

II. PARTICIPANT RESPONSIBILITIES AND ACKNOWLEDGMENTS

5. Personal Responsibility

Participants are responsible for their own emotional and physical well-being during and after the classes. If distress occurs, individuals agree to seek appropriate support or discontinue participation if necessary.

6. Medical Disclaimer

The information provided is not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any medical or mental health condition. Always consult with a qualified healthcare professional before making any changes to your treatment plan or if you have concerns about your mental or physical health.

7. Age Requirement

Participants confirm they are at least 18 years of age or have obtained parental consent to participate in SWC.

8. Crisis and Self-Harm Clause

This program is not suitable for individuals experiencing active suicidal thoughts, homicidal ideation, or severe mental health crisis. By participating, you confirm that you are not currently at risk of harming yourself or others.

If at any point during your participation in this program you begin to experience thoughts of suicide or of harming others, you agree to:

a. Immediately discontinue participation in the program b. Seek immediate help by contacting one of the following:

  • Your local emergency services (call 911 in the US)

  • National Suicide Prevention Lifeline: 1-800-273-8255

  • Crisis Text Line: Text HOME to 741741

  • Your personal mental health provider or therapist

  • The nearest emergency room

Dr. Baker and the Somatic Wellness Collective are not equipped to handle crisis situations within this educational format. Your safety and the safety of others is paramount, and professional crisis intervention may be necessary in these circumstances.
