Next cohort begins Monday, September 28, 2026.
Insulin resistance isn’t a willpower issue. It isn’t a discipline problem. And it isn’t something you can force your way through.
Insulin resistance reflects how your body responds to the conditions around it—how it processes and stores energy, responds to stress, recovers during sleep, adapts to hormonal changes, and responds to food and movement.
In midlife, those conditions can shift. Sleep changes. Stress accumulates. Hormonal changes affect metabolism. The same things you have always done may not have the same effect they once did.
This isn’t about doing something wrong. It’s about understanding what your body needs now.
And the good news is that these conditions can change.
You can improve insulin sensitivity.
You can support healthier blood sugar.
You can build a way of eating, moving, sleeping, and living that supports your body instead of constantly trying to control it.
That is the foundation of the Joyful Metabolic Reset.
The Joyful Metabolic Reset is a 12-week physician-led program for women navigating insulin resistance, prediabetes, or type 2 diabetes who want clear guidance and ongoing support putting Lifestyle Medicine into practice.
Because knowing that food matters is different from knowing what to eat.
Knowing that movement matters is different from building it into your life.
Knowing that sleep and stress affect insulin resistance is different from knowing what to do when your own sleep is disrupted or your life is stressful.
Information is only the beginning.
Inside the Reset, we take what we know about metabolic health and turn it into something you can actually live.
You have:
A clear path so you know what deserves your attention
Weekly physician guidance so you can ask questions and understand what is happening
Accountability and support as you put the foundations into practice
A community where you do not have to figure it all out alone
The goal is not to follow another set of rules perfectly.
The goal is to understand what supports your health, practice it consistently, and become confident in your ability to keep going.
The focus begins to shift:
From restriction → nourishment
From control → understanding
From constantly questioning yourself → knowing what matters
From starting over → building consistency
Women in the program have experienced improvements in blood sugar, energy, confidence, and the way they care for themselves.
“My A1C went from 7.0 to 6.2!”
— Program Participant
“I did my blood work on Monday and I found that my glucose dropped from 5.7 to 5.2.”
— Program Participant
“It makes sense, and it’s not hard to make subtle changes a little at a time—you get results. I have more energy, and I choose healthier options now.”
— RB
“The modules were engaging and informative, and Dr. Jenn was so encouraging—100% committed to her students. I’ve started mindful eating, my energy is up… It’s a health journey, not a quick fix—but so worthwhile.”
— Marilyn
Individual results vary.
You are not handed a plan and left to figure it out.
For 12 weeks, you have:
Bring your questions, what you are noticing, what is working, and where you are getting stuck.
We connect the science to what is actually happening in your life.
You do not need to overhaul your life in week one.
We build step by step, so you know what to focus on now and what comes next.
Each week, you move from understanding to action—and then come back so we can review, reinforce, and adjust.
Food matters.
And so do movement, sleep, stress, recovery, connection, environment, purpose, and joy.
We look at how those pieces work together rather than reducing metabolic health to one nutrient, one number, or one behavior.
You receive a full year of community access and ongoing connection after the intensive ends.
Because the goal is not simply to complete a program.
It is to build a way of caring for your health that becomes part of how you live.
The program is designed to help you take action early, understand your body more deeply as you go, and build foundations you can continue using long after the 12 weeks end.
We start immediately.
You begin adding nourishing, fiber-rich foods and identifying simple actions that support your metabolic health.
We look at where you are now, what has made previous changes difficult to sustain, and which foundations deserve your attention first.
You leave these first weeks knowing where to begin and what to practice.
Now we deepen your understanding.
You learn what insulin resistance actually is, how your body uses and stores energy, and how food quality, fiber, eating patterns, stress, sleep, and other factors affect metabolic health.
You begin connecting what you are learning with the signals your own body gives you.
Your choices start making sense because you understand why they matter.
We stop adding and look at what is already happening.
What feels easier?
What is helping?
What needs attention?
What questions have come up now that you have actually been practicing?
You reinforce what is working and refine what needs adjustment.
We expand the focus to the other conditions that influence metabolic health.
Movement.
Sleep.
Stress.
Recovery.
Your environment.
Connection.
We identify practical ways to strengthen these foundations within the life you are actually living.
You begin building rhythms that support your health without requiring your life to revolve around your health.
Health has to work on regular Tuesdays—and on vacations, at restaurants, during busy weeks, at family gatherings, and when life changes.
In the final weeks, we focus on making what you have learned yours.
We strengthen what is working, prepare for the situations that tend to disrupt your routines, and create your personal continuation plan.
You leave knowing what supports you, what you want to continue, and how to return to your foundations when life gets complicated.
Your support does not disappear at the end of week 12.
You continue inside the private community for a full year, with ongoing connection, community calls, accountability, and support.
Because 12 weeks gives us time to build the foundation.
The months afterward give you time to keep living it.
You are living with insulin resistance, prediabetes, type 2 diabetes, or related metabolic concerns and you are ready to understand what actually supports your health.
You want more than another list of foods to eat or avoid.
You want to understand your body well enough to make confident decisions.
You want guidance from a physician who can help you connect the science with your real life.
You want accountability and support while you turn what you know into what you actually do.
And you want a way of caring for yourself that you can continue long after the program ends.
By the end of the Reset, you will have spent 12 weeks learning, practicing, asking questions, receiving feedback, and refining the foundations that support your metabolic health.
You will understand what deserves your attention.
You will know why those things matter.
You will have practiced putting them into your real life.
And you will have a framework for continuing.
Participants have experienced:
Improvements in A1C and blood sugar
Medication reduction when appropriate and in collaboration with their treating clinician
More consistent energy
Greater confidence making food and lifestyle decisions
A clearer understanding of what supports their metabolic health
But one of the most important outcomes is harder to capture in a lab value:
You know what to do next.
Not because someone handed you another rule.
Because you understand your body, you have practiced the foundations, and you have learned how to continue.
Your enrollment includes:
A structured, physician-developed progression from understanding insulin resistance to putting the foundations of Lifestyle Medicine into practice.
Physician-led teaching, questions, implementation support, feedback, and accountability throughout the program.
Clear, focused actions that help you translate what you learn into daily life.
Tools to help you stay connected to the practices you are building between sessions.
Resources that support your learning, reflection, and implementation.
Connection, encouragement, questions, wins, and accountability with women moving through the process alongside you.
Continued connection and support after the 12-week intensive ends.
You are getting more than access to information about metabolic health.
You are spending 12 weeks putting that information into practice with an experienced physician there every week to teach, answer questions, help you make sense of what is happening, and support you as you move forward.
And your connection and support continue for a full year.
I believe in the power of these foundations, and I know meaningful change does not happen on exactly the same timetable for every person.
If you fully participate in the program, consistently implement the actions we agree upon, and reach the end of the 12 weeks without meaningful progress toward the goals we established together:
I will continue working with you at no additional charge.
We will continue looking at what needs attention, making adjustments, and supporting your implementation until you are making meaningful progress and have a clear path forward.
If you are ready for a clear, physician-guided path to improving your metabolic health—and the support to actually put it into practice—I would love to work with you.
