Take the Reins: A Monthly Practice in Agency

In the "Year of the Horse," we aren’t just looking for speed—we are looking for partnership with our own lives.

Most of us live at the extremes:

The Tight Rein: Micromanaging, anxious, and "Zamboning" the path for everyone else.
The Loose Rein: Drifting through the algorithms of life, reacting rather than choosing.

This is a space to find the Engaged Rein. Once a month, we gather for one hour of reflection, analogy-driven teaching, and community connection. We use the ancient wisdom of horsemanship to navigate modern human challenges.

What we explore together:

Soft Eyes: Finding stillness and peripheral awareness in a fast-moving world.
The Deep Seat: How to stay grounded when life gets "spooky."
The Engaged Rein: How to set boundaries without building walls.
Forward Motion: How to move when the path isn't clear.

Who is Erin?

I’m a writer, photographer, horsewoman, and an ordained "Tentmaking Evangelist" in the Presbyterian Church (just like Mr. Rogers!).

After years in the corporate world and leading a community featured in TIME, I traded the boardroom for the barn. When I’m not writing, you can find me in the garden, with my horses, or walking my dogs through the trails of Baja California.

I am a lifelong student of the world, and I’ve realized my greatest joy is sharing what I learn. I created this space to help people find their "Deep Seat"—that centered, grounded connection that keeps you from being thrown when the trail of life gets rough.

Where: Live on Zoom (Interactive but intimate. We use the chat to keep the flow focused and "Zoom-fatigue" free.)
On Demand: Can't make it live? Every session is recorded and saved in your personal library to watch whenever you need a reset.
