ABOUT:
This is for access to my You are the Expert Project. I had always wanted to do this project with my students, but in the past we hadn’t had enough time. I’m so glad I was able to finally squeeze it in with my students. It went over so well! At first they were a little nervous, but once they picked their topic and had a good idea of what they wanted to present, they really blew it out of the water.
Make sure you have students get approval from you first. They had the coolest ideas, but some would have been too difficult to execute in a classroom setting. We had students present on how to play their favorite sports, how to draw, how to make friendship bracelets, on “brain rot”, and so many more cool topics! This project really allowed my students to shine and was perfect for the end of the school year.

While this project was designed with middle school students in mind, it can be easily adapted for upper elementary or high school classrooms.
