NEW MARRIAGE BY NEW YEAR’S - PRIVATE EDITION
You’ve spent enough of this year wondering what to do about your marriage.
You want it to work.... You also know you can’t keep living like this.
You want to look across the table and think, "God, I love this man".
You want to respect him....want him....trust him to handle things without keeping track of them yourself...enjoy dinner together without everything you’re frustrated about sitting between you.
And you want to love your own life, too - your work, your friendships, your plans. ...The woman you are becoming.
You’re allowed to want all of it.
For ten weeks, we’ll work privately on the decisions that move you into that life and marriage.
You can love him and ask for more. Have compassion for him and expect follow-through. Own your choices and stop taking responsibility for his.
You can want a future together and start making changes today.
Let me guess: you’ve told him what you need and you're wondering "Joy, now what?"
That’s where we get specific:
What are you ready to stop carrying? What happens if he agrees to take something over and leaves it undone? What do you need to see before you make your next decision?
If you’ve decided something needs to change, what does that mean tomorrow morning? What will you do when he disagrees—or when you feel guilty and want to take it all back?
We work through everything together.
And we’ll make room for the life you keep postponing while you figure out your marriage: The work you want to pursue. The friendships you miss. The plans you want to make without waiting for everything at home to be settled first...
At 35, I was living in limbo but desperately needing an ending in my marriage... At 41, I have a marriage and a life I fucking love—with the same man.
And some of the reasons for that are the following:
I stopped waiting for someone else to change before I let my life change. For years I thought if my marriage was going to get better, my husband needed to change. So I waited....and resented and tried to get him to see everything I thought he was doing wrong. The biggest shift I made was deciding my life could change before he did.
I stopped treating discomfort like proof I’d made the wrong decision. Some of the best decisions felt terrifying when I made them. I stopped expecting the right decision to always feel good. Sometimes growth feels uncomfortable. Change is scary. And sometimes the life you want requires you to walk through a season you'd rather skip. I learned to stop running back to what was familiar just because it felt comfortable.
I stopped needing everyone to understand my choices. I had to be willing to let people watch me make decisions they didn't understand: end my marriage, change my mind, go back, start over etc. At some point I realized that I could build a life that made sense to others - or build one that made sense to me.
I stopped participating in a marriage I didn’t want. This one took a while to learn because everyone will teach you to communicate better. But if you're communicating the same shit for the 100th time you haven't actually given your marriage 100 chances - you've given it the same chance 100 times. I had to learn new levels of response that went beyond communication.
I stopped believing I needed to know how it all was going to work out. I made decisions without knowing exactly where they would lead. I ended my marriage without knowing what came next...I rebuilt it without knowing if we'd make it. I made moves before I had the entire plan because I stopped requiring certainty before I was willing to move.
We both had decisions to make. Together, we slowly built something different but it was my initiative and started with me changing my own part.
I give women strategy for their specific life. This isn't therapy where we are processing your childhood. This is specific, strategic moves to get YOUR life and marriage moving in the direction you want, now.
You may already understand why you’re frustrated - excellent.
You can probably explain the history, describe the patterns, and tell me exactly what happened in your last argument. Beautiful.
We’re going to work on what you do NEXT.
Bring me the responsibility you’re tired of carrying. We’ll decide what handing it back actually requires, what still needs to get done, and how you’ll avoid quietly taking it over again.
Bring me the promise that things will change. We’ll get clear on what that change needs to look like in everyday life—and what you’ll do with what you see.
Bring me the decision you keep putting off. We’ll look at your options, what each one requires and your next step.
Therapy can be valuable. Our work has a practical focus: making decisions, putting them into practice, and working through what happens afterward.
Here’s what you get with me:
Ten weekly strategy sessions at the beginning of the week. You’ve told him what you need. Now we get into the nitty-gritty of what you’re going to do. What are you ready to stop carrying? What happens if he agrees and doesn’t follow through? What do you need to see before you make your next decision? Before your first call you'll complete an intake form giving me everything I need in order to show up with a plan at your first call and we go from there.
This is strategy for your specific life—with me helping you put it into practice and hold it when things get uncomfortable.
Each week, we’ll work with what actually happened. If you stepped back and then took everything over again, we’ll look at where that happened and change the plan. If you held your decision, we’ll work through his response. If something improved, we’ll look at what made the difference and build on that.
We’ll turn “I can’t keep doing this” into specific decisions: what you’ll continue doing, what you’re handing back, what needs an agreement and what you need to see change.
We’ll also decide what you’re moving forward with in your own life. Your plans get dates and next steps, too.
In between calls we have a shared private working document where you fill me in on what's happening and how things are going as you want to. You'll also have the option for a 30 minute check in call every other week at the end of the week. We look at what happened when you put things into practice, address anything that needs attention and make adjustments before your next full session.
All of our sessions help make your changes more concrete by looking at actual data so that when a hard day or a good weekend makes you question everything, you’ll have more to go on than how you feel that afternoon.
As a private client you'll also get immediate access to Say It For Me - my AI tool that helps you change your responses in real time.
Use it for help putting the words together for the conversations you need to have—whether you’re saying what will change, responding to pushback, or addressing an agreement that hasn’t been kept.
You'll also walk away with a plan for 2027.
We’ll finish with clear next steps based on what happened during our work together: What are you continuing? What still needs to change? What decisions remain? What are you building in your own life? And how will you make sure that you don't just go back to the way things were? We map it all out.
You’ll know where you’re going next and what you’re going to do about it.
You get to become the woman who can want more—and take action on it.
The woman who makes a decision she respects and follows through...Who can care about her husband without making his choices for him... Who has room in her life for her own work, friendships, pleasure, and plans regardless...
And who can look honestly at what they’re both willing to build together.

FAQ:
I’ve already told him what I need. What would we do differently?
You probably don’t need another way to explain yourself. We look at what happens after you ask. Does he agree, then leave you to follow up? Do you take over because waiting creates more work? Does the conversation end with you defending why you need anything at all?
That’s where we get specific: what you’ll ask for, what you’ll stop taking responsibility for, and what you’ll do if his answer sounds good but nothing changes.
What actually happens in the private sessions?
I come to each session with a plan for you, based on what we’re working toward, what happened the week before, and where you’re still getting stuck.
We get into the details: the responsibility you’re handing back, the decision you need to make, the conversation you need to have, and what you’ll do if he agrees but doesn’t follow through. You leave knowing exactly what you’re putting into practice that week.
Each session builds on the last. I’m tracking what’s changing, where the same pattern keeps showing up, and what we need to address next. You don’t have to figure out how to lead this process. That’s my job.
What are the 30-minute check-ins for?
Every other week, you’ll have an additional, optional 30-minute private check-in between your weekly sessions.
We look at what happened when you put your plan into practice, work through anything that needs attention, and adjust your next steps. If a conversation didn’t go as expected or you’re unsure how to follow through, we have dedicated time to address it.
Does my husband have to participate?
No. You can enroll without getting him on board first.
We start with the decisions you can make: what you agree to, what you carry, what you ask for, and what you do when an agreement isn’t kept. His response gives us information. You don’t have to manage his participation to begin.
Is this just more work for me?
You’re already doing a lot of work to keep this marriage running. We look at how you keep ending up responsible for both your part and his—and make a plan to change that.
Sometimes your next move will be a direct conversation. Sometimes it will be letting him handle something without reminding, fixing, or rescuing. We get precise about what that looks like in your home, with your responsibilities.
We’ve already tried therapy. How is this different?
You may already understand your history, his history, and why the same argument keeps happening. But what do you do when he leaves everything to you again on Thursday?
That’s where we get to work. I map out a plan for your specific marriage and help you put it into practice: what needs to change, what you’ll do differently, what you’re asking of him, and how you’ll follow through. Each week, we assess what happened and build from there.
What if I’m not sure I want to stay married?
You don’t have to arrive with that decision made.
We get clear about what you need, what you’re willing to participate in, and what would need to change for you to want this marriage. Then you can make decisions based on what’s happening, instead of swinging between hope after a good weekend and wanting out after the next fight.
What’s included when I enroll?
You’ll receive ten weekly 60-minute private sessions, plus an additional 30-minute private check-in every other week. I come prepared with a plan for your weekly sessions, and the shorter check-ins give us dedicated time to address what’s happening as you put that plan into practice.
You’ll also get immediate access to Say It For Me, so you can start using it before our first session.
Can I use a payment plan?
Yes. You can select paid in full or the payment plan at checkout.
Do I need a discovery call first?
No. If you’ve read the page and know this is the work you want to do, you can enroll directly. There are four private places, available on a first-come basis.
What is the refund policy?
Because your enrollment reserves a limited private place and ten weeks of dedicated work together, all sales are final. No refunds are offered.
Payment plans divide the full investment into installments. They do not allow you to cancel the remaining payments if you choose to stop participating.
