My goal for this course is to give you the confidence you need to sketch your own designs. In the intro of the course you'll see one of my very first sketches... trust me.. If I can go from that to where I am now so can you.
You can spend time practicing and guessing, looking at finished work of someone else and trying to replicate it, thats fine! There are many ways to learn this craft! Any effort is great. What I'd like to try and do for you in this course is to save you some time by taking the guess work out of it. Showing you foundational things to easily set up a design and the small things that make all the difference. To show you the mistakes to avoid before you even develop the bad habits.

I know sketching can be extremely difficult, it's something I struggled with most when I was starting out 11 years ago. It made me want to quit leatherwork entirely, but I am so glad I didn't because now it's one of the best parts of my life. The more time, effort and resources you put into this craft, the better you get! The better you get, the more fun it and enjoyable it becomes.
What I wanted most when I was starting was to see breakdowns of other people's actual project sketches, as they were creating them in real time. Not the extra easy sketched examples in work books. I wanted to see how they really draw! Yes I have the super easy breakdown sketches, but I also packed this with frame by frame photos of my actual custom work.
