The Journey
Sourced in relationship. Crafted in tradition. Shared with intention. Experienced through the heart ✧
Guatemala called. The land, the people, the culture, the traditions, and the rituals brought me back to my heart.
Through the guidance of Mama Cacao, I first connected with the Nana’s of Santa Lucia here in the United States. Later, on my first journey to Guatemala, I found myself welcomed into their home and the lands where this cacao is prepared and blessed.
The thread of connection continued to weave. Upon a return journey to Guatemala, a blessing and the bridge came to be — bringing this cacao from their hands to yours.
Shared with humble gratitude.

The Story
Our cacao is sourced through a living, ongoing relationship with indigenous cacao stewards of the northern highlands of Guatemala, including collaboration with the Kaslemal family—guardians of these traditions for generations.
This is not a transactional supply chain.
It is a relationship—built through presence, trust, and respect for the land, the lineage, and the people who carry this wisdom forward.
Each batch of cacao is cultivated, harvested, fire-roasted, and hand-prepared using traditional methods that have been preserved and passed down through generations. The regions where this cacao is grown actively resist pesticide use and prioritize ecological integrity, ensuring the health of both the earth and the communities who depend on it.
At the heart of this work is reciprocity.
We are committed to fair and respectful trade practices that honor the true value of this cacao—supporting fair wages, long-term partnerships, and reinvestment into the families and communities who make this possible while creating a bridge between traditional knowledge and modern life.
Through this collaboration, cacao becomes more than something we consume.
It becomes something we are in relationship with.
A living tradition—rooted in respect, responsibility, and connection.
Every cacao bean in this block is honored with reverence—roasted over an open fire and hand-peeled by Maya families using traditional methods.
The trees and plants are nurtured using ancestral practices and the Mayan worldview, which values harmony with nature and all living beings.
Their activities are guided by sacred fire ceremonies, performed in unity with the energies of the universe and the earth.
Made from the highest quality seeds of an ancient, generational strain, this organic ceremonial cacao is crafted with love, respect and intention.
Its aroma is bold and incredibly rich, a true expression of the cacao’s quality
