Book Jules | Matcha Training, Workshops + Speaking

Bring specialized, industry-informed matcha education directly to your team, organization, or audience.

I offer custom-developed matcha training, educational workshops, and speaking engagements for cafes, brands, organizations, and events seeking a deeper and more thoughtful approach to matcha education.

Every engagement is built around your specific audience, objectives, and desired outcomes. Rather than delivering a standard presentation, I develop programming informed by your team's needs, level of experience, industry context, and the knowledge you want your audience to walk away with.

Who This Is For

Custom engagements are designed for:

  • Cafes + hospitality teams looking to strengthen their team's matcha knowledge and elevate how matcha is understood, prepared, served, and communicated to guests

  • Brands + organizations seeking credible, engaging matcha education developed specifically for their teams, communities, customers, or partners

  • Events, conferences + industry gatherings looking for an educational speaker, panelist, facilitator, guided tasting, or interactive matcha experience

  • Teams at any stage of their matcha education, from foundational learning to more advanced, specialized programming

Custom-Developed for Your Audience

No two engagements are exactly the same.

Your engagement begins before I step into the room. Each project includes pre-session discovery, planning, research, and program development to ensure our time together is relevant, intentional, and valuable to your specific audience.

Ahead of the engagement, I'll learn about your organization, audience, objectives, existing level of matcha knowledge, and desired outcomes. When relevant, I'll also review materials, menus, processes, or other context that can inform the session.

From there, I'll develop the programming, educational approach, and areas of focus specifically for your engagement.

Depending on your needs, topics may include:

  • Matcha fundamentals + Japanese tea education

  • Matcha quality + sensory evaluation

  • Guided matcha tastings

  • Matcha preparation + best practices

  • Cafe matcha programs, including recipes, batching, workflows, storage, tools + service

  • Matcha trends, industry insights + consumer education

  • Custom topics developed specifically for your audience

Engagements can take the form of focused team trainings, guided tastings, interactive workshops, educational talks, panels, or larger-format programming. Format, content, and depth are determined as part of the scoping process.

Location + Travel

I'm based in the San Francisco Bay Area and offer in-person engagements throughout the region.

For engagements outside the Bay Area, I typically align requests with my existing business travel itinerary whenever possible.

If your preferred location or timing requires travel outside my existing itinerary, additional travel expenses may apply. Any travel requirements and associated costs will be outlined as part of your custom quote before booking.

Investment

Because each engagement includes preparation and custom program development in addition to the session itself, engagements are individually scoped and quoted based on the format, duration, audience size, level of customization, preparation required, location, and travel.

Custom engagements start at $2,500.

Complete the inquiry form below with details about your organization, audience, goals, timing, location, and anticipated budget. I'll review your request to determine fit and develop a recommended approach based on your needs.

⚠️ Submitting an inquiry does not confirm an engagement or booking. After completing this form, I will follow up within 24 hours.

About Jules

I'm a matcha educator, entrepreneur, and industry veteran with more than a decade of experience helping shape the modern matcha category in the U.S.

My work in matcha began in 2015, when I founded some of the earliest city-based matcha communities in San Francisco, Los Angeles, and New York, and later co-hosted the first U.S. Matcha Fest in 2017. I went on to join the founding team of Jade Leaf Matcha, helping scale the business from an emerging Amazon brand into an omnichannel business and the #1-selling matcha brand in the U.S. at the time, culminating in its multimillion-dollar acquisition in 2020.

Over the past decade, I've worked across matcha education, product development, consumer insights, cafe programs, and brand strategy, including consulting with matcha brands in both the U.S. and Japan. I'm the founder of Matcha Program, an education platform focused on helping cafes build stronger, more consistent matcha programs.

Today, my work focuses on advancing matcha education across cafes and the broader specialty beverage industry, translating the complexities of Japanese tea into practical frameworks teams can use to better understand, prepare, evaluate, and communicate matcha.

Today, I’m the co-founder of Kissako Matcha and Mindful Drops, where I’m actively building two businesses across matcha and the broader specialty beverage industry.
