Three bibs before lunch.
Waking every hour.
Your fingers chewed raw.
Food they loved last week pushed away.
Poop that's suddenly green and loose, or has stopped altogether.
A rash on a food that was fine a month ago, and now you're scared it's a new allergy.
And someone tells you teething doesn't cause any of that.
Teething isn't one tooth arriving one week.
There are 20 teeth moving at different stages at the same time, so what you live through are waves.
Each one builds, peaks and settles, and then another comes a few weeks later, from the early months until around age 3.
And teething is HUGE. It changes far more than the mouth. More drool means your baby swallows much more saliva all day, and the bacteria in the mouth shift as teeth move. Feeds get shorter, the body braces against pain, and sleep falls apart.
That's why a settled baby who pooped daily can look like a different baby for a week.
I'm Anushka, Mother + Baby Gut Nutrition Consultant at Milk Health. I've supported more than 400 families through colic, reflux, eczema, food reactions and sleepless nights, and teething has been somewhere in the picture for almost every one of them.
Tame the Teething is the plan I give those families, written down so you have it in your hands before the next wave hits, not in the middle of it at 3am.
The gut in a teething week. The chapter other teething books leave out: green poop, loose poop, constipation, mucus, and reactions during a wave. What each one means and what to do.
"Is it teething or something else?" A side-by-side guide so you know when it's teeth and when it's time to call the doctor, with fever explained clearly.
The wave plan. What to prepare in the calm between waves, what to do on days 1 and 2, how to get through the peak, and what to do once the tooth is through.
13 ready-made protocols. Find your baby's age or your exact situation, like a molar week, a wave with green poop, a wave with constipation, a sore night, or teething with illness. Then follow the rows.
Sleep, feeding and biting. Why nights get worse, what to do about a nursing strike or biting at the breast, and what to offer on a sore day when solids go down and milk goes up.
Massage and body work. Gum, face, jaw and ear massage and foot rubs. Most families feel a difference within the first few days.
Every teething tool, and what to keep out. What I actually use, and why numbing gels, amber necklaces and teething tablets stay out of your house.
Building strong teeth. How teeth are built from food, for you and your baby, plus caring for new teeth and night feeds.
An age-by-age guide from birth to 4 months, Early Birdies (4 to 6 months), 6 to 12 months, and the big molars and canines of 12 to 18 months.
30+ recipes. Popsicles, frozen stock sticks, butter sticks, yogurt bark, my clove ghee gum balm, a whipped tallow balm for drool rash, and recipes to nourish you too.
Printables. A teething tracker, daily log, tooth map, wave log, and a freezer-and-bag checklist.
The freezer is already stocked. You know what that green nappy means and it doesn't send you into a spiral. You're not buying a new gel, a new toy and a new food all in the same week and wondering what helped. The waves get shorter and softer, and the whole house sleeps better for it.
Yes, if you have a baby from birth to 18 months who is teething, about to start, or going through wave after wave. It suits you whether you're breastfeeding or formula feeding, and whether your baby was born early (using corrected age) or on time.
Especially if your baby has eczema, reflux or food reactions, and every wave seems to make everything worse.
How will I receive it? Instantly, as a PDF download right after purchase.
My baby has no teeth yet. Is it too early? No. Teeth move inside the jaw for months before they show, and the best time to prepare is before the first wave.
Does it cover fever? Yes. Teething can warm a baby slightly, and the book tells you exactly when to see a doctor.
I'm breastfeeding. Is there anything for me? Yes. It covers biting, nursing strikes, what to eat for your milk, and recipes for you.
This book is education from my practice, not medical advice. It includes a red-flag list so you always know when it's more than a tooth.
If your baby is in a hard wave right now, turn to Chapter 15 and start the wave plan tonight.
If you're in a calm stretch, stock your freezer this week, so you're ready before the next wave arrives.
I hope your baby sleeps tonight.
Love, Anushka x
