✨ NOTE: This is a one-time payment (not a subscription). You pay once, and after that you’ll have unlimited access to the course and can go through it at your own pace.
For example, give it just 15 minutes a day and in one month from now, you could go from feeling like Finnish conversations are happening around you to finally feeling like you’re part of them.
You understand Finnish.
You can say things.
But…
👉 it still comes out a bit stiff
👉 a bit unnatural
👉 like something between you and the language isn’t quite clicking
Sometimes it even feels like you sound… a little robotic.
And when Finns talk to each other,
you catch parts of it
– but then suddenly… you don’t.
You fall off the conversation again.
And again.
And that’s frustrating.
Because you know you should understand more.
This is where most learners get stuck.
Not because they don’t know enough.
But because everything feels… scattered.
In your head, Finnish is:
👉 a mix of different forms
👉 different versions of the same words
👉 rules that don’t seem to match what you hear.
You’ve learned one way to say something…
and then hear it said completely differently.
And now you’re left wondering:
👉 Which one is correct?
👉 What should I actually say?
👉 What version is “real Finnish”?
So instead of feeling clear,
everything feels a bit messy.
Disconnected.
But that’s old you. Because one month from now, with just 15 minutes a day, you will be in a completely different place with your Finnish.
🧩 You finally see the big picture of Finnish
Throughout the course, I'll guide you using my own framework, The Three Layers of Finnish.
It will help you finally understand the different layers of Finnish, why spoken Finnish isn't just one thing, and how it differs from standard Finnish. You'll discover everything through clear, practical examples, making the patterns click naturally and giving you plenty of "aha!" moments along the way.
The layers:
👉 Standard Finnish
👉 Neutral Spoken Finnish
👉 Spoken Spoken Finnish
Suddenly, things start making sense:
👉 you understand why Finnish has felt confusing before
👉 you see how everything connects instead of feeling random
👉 you notice that the differences are actually systematic.
You’ll start to see:
👉 how the same sentence shifts across layers
👉 where the changes happen (and why)
👉 what spoken Finnish really sounds like – also when it’s fast and casual.
I'm also gonna let you know which layer to focus on 🩷
💎 This is the part that helps you feel:
“I get it now.”
🧩 You learn the tiny words that make your Finnish flow
ja, sekä, sekä–että, -kä, eli, tai, joko–tai, vai, mutta, vaan
(and, both–and, that is, or, either–or, but, but instead)
They help you:
👉 connect your thoughts instead of speaking in short, separate sentences
👉 express and understand the small but important nuances
👉 understand what those little differences mean when Finns speak.
And when you start using them:
👉 your speech becomes smoother, less robotic & more like real, everyday Finnish.
🧩 You learn Finnish you can actually use – immediately
This is not abstract grammar.
This is real-life Finnish.
All the examples come from situations like:
🛒 grocery stores
👕 clothing stores
Which means:
👉 you learn phrases you can use the same day
👉 you recognize situations when they happen
👉 you don’t have to build everything from scratch.
🎧 Listen & Repeat — where things click
After each section:
👉 about 10 practical sentences
👉 all three layers of Finnish
👉 I say it → you repeat
👉 multiple times - at different paces.
This is where:
👉 you start recognizing patterns
👉 you hear how things actually sound
👉 you get used to different layers of spoken Finnish.
And this is important:
You begin to see both – the differences and the similarities – between standard and spoken Finnish.
Because it’s not two separate languages.
It’s one system – with layers.
This course doesn’t just give you knowledge.
It gives you a sense of clarity.
After this, you:
👉 understand more of what you hear
👉 don’t fall off conversations as easily
👉 know what kind of Finnish you want to use
👉 feel more in control when you speak
And most importantly…
👉 You find your own way of speaking Finnish.
Through repetition and real examples,
you get so much exposure to different layers that you start choosing...
👉 ... what feels natural to you
👉 ... how relaxed you want to sound
👉 ... how close to spoken Finnish you want to go
👉 ... what fits your personality.
And slowly…
👉 Finnish stops feeling like something external
👉 and starts feeling like something that’s yours.
Not perfect. Not forced. But real.

You’ll also be able to download all the course slides for yourself 🩷
Welcome!
Let’s make your Finnish feel like something
you can actually live in.
In Finland we don't say "let's start"
– we say "noniin, nyt aloitetaan!"
😎 NOTE: The spoken Finnish I focus on in this course is the variety mostly used in the capital area of Finland.

Who am I? 👀
You might be wondering why you should learn Finnish from me.
I'm Mimmu, a native Finn, and Finnish is my first language. I've always been fascinated by language and the way people actually use it, which led me to earn a Master's degree in Finnish from the University of Helsinki, specializing in sociolinguistics – the study of how language is ACTUALLY used in everyday life and how it changes depending on the situation and the people you're talking to. Super interesting, by the way.
Before that, I studied Marketing, and throughout my career I've worked in marketing and communications, where choosing the right words, tone of voice, and communication style for different audiences is part of everyday life.
Looking back, these two fields complement each other perfectly and have shaped the way I teach Finnish: not as a collection of grammar rules, but as a living language used by real people in real situations 💙
