This has been an upward trajectory from year 1- around 75%, year 2 around 83% and last year 93%. For me, the key has been looking at what the research says about reading comprehension, and cherry picking the best parts to create our own structure. The reading structure focuses on developing vocabulary, fluency and teaching the skills of a good reader to support children with accessing a text.
