Workbook 95- Al Badi- The Incomparable Originator

Sometimes discovering who else I could be allows me to choose who I already am.

Al-Badīʿ invites us to contemplate Allah as the incomparable Originator - the One who brings forth without a preceding model. Human beings do not create as Allah creates. We work with what we have been given: revelation, bodies, histories, relationships, capacities, limitations, materials, knowledge, and opportunities.

The therapeutic invitation of this volume is therefore not 'invent yourself from nothing.' It is: become deliberate. Examine what you inherited, what you adapted to survive, what you genuinely prefer, what needs development, what deserves release, and what new possibilities may be cultivated within the life and responsibilities entrusted to you.

I do not have to become dramatically different in order to become more deliberate.
