Meet Your Instructor

Hi, I'm Natalie Marnica, a Yoga Therapist, E-RYT 500 Yoga Teacher, and Holistic Movement Coach with over 15 years of experience helping people move with greater confidence, strength, and ease.

My passion for accessible movement grew from both personal experience with chronic pain and years spent supporting loved ones through serious illness. Those experiences shaped the way I teach today: meeting people where they are and helping them discover that movement can be both safe and empowering.

Over the past 15 years, I've taught Chair Yoga & Mobility in retirement residences, community centres, healthcare settings, corporate environments, and private practice. I've also trained movement professionals to confidently work with older adults, individuals living with chronic pain, neurological conditions, and mixed ability populations.

I've had the privilege of working with organizations including retirement communities, hospitals, wellness centres, community organizations, and corporate wellness programs across Ontario.

Whether you're looking to expand your teaching skills or simply build a stronger foundation in Chair Yoga & Mobility, I'm excited to guide you through this course and help you feel more confident bringing accessible movement to the people you serve.

It is meaningful work.
It is sustainable work.
And it often pays more consistently than studio-only teaching.

As a nurse practitioner working with individuals with Parkinson’s and neurological disorders, I knew movement was essential—but I struggled to find a training that truly prepared me to teach safely and effectively for different mobility levels. I had completed multiple trainings, including a 300-hour yoga certification, but I still lacked confidence in adapting movement for my students. That changed when I took the Chair Yoga & Mobility Level 1 & 2 Teacher Trainings. This was the most impactful training I’ve ever done. Years later, I still reference the exercises, breath cues, and regressions I learned because they actually work. ✔ Confidence to teach anyone—from wheelchair users to those with balance issues ✔ A structured, practical system that makes movement safe, effective, and accessible ✔ Movement that feels good—students leave empowered and excited to come back ✔ A strong foundation—I’ve taken many trainings, but I always return to these tools This training transformed how I teach and gave me the skills to truly help people move better. My mantra? “Any movement is good movement.” If you're considering this training, just go for it. It will empower you to teach in a way that makes a real impact.

I really enjoyed studying with you (Natalie). I particularly valued the live element - online courses are all very good and well but I really enjoyed how you had both a live and an online teaching element to your course. It absolutely enhances the learning experience. Watching the Zoom sessions again is also really good to help embed the learning and practice the postures. Basically, well done you for making this course so well! " -

I've appreciated studying with you. What I particularly like is that you are working with an older population. A lot of trainings I have seen are for people (of all ages) in larger bodies which is great, but often, if younger, those people don't have the same kind of restrictions as the people we work with. So the teacher might immediately ask the students to raise the arms above the head, for example, whereas you build up to that really slowly, testing the edges of the students' range of motion, and I appreciate that. It can be difficult for people to trust a teacher with their bodies once their mobility is restricted, and I feel that your gentle way of working and layering movements can really help to build that trust.

Natalie’s approach to training is very clear, practical, and hands-on, which made the learning process easy to follow and apply. She draws on her extensive experience working with older adults, often sharing concrete examples of unexpected scenarios and how to adapt or shift the practice safely in the moment. One of the most valuable things I gained from the Chair and Mobility training is the opportunity to practice making movement truly accessible in real-life settings. It also allowed me to continue sharing safe and supportive rehabilitation practices, informed by my own recovery after a hip replacement last year. This experience deepened my understanding of how thoughtful movement can support mobility, confidence, and overall well-being for a wide range of participants.
