Wondering if it's safe to give your baby peanut butter for the first time? Or trying to figure out what your child's allergy diagnosis actually means for everyday life? Either way, you shouldn't have to guess.

Whatever stage you're at, you shouldn't have to figure it out alone. You can post a public question or a private DM if that makes you more confortable.

I'm Heidi, a paediatric nurse with 25+ years' experience and a Clinical Nurse Specialist in childhood allergy for over a decade. Ask Nurse Heidi gives you direct access to me, whenever a question comes up, whether you're introducing common allergy foods for the first time, still working out if it's an allergy at all, or navigating life with a diagnosis.

How it works

You join. Whenever something's on your mind, how to navigate the complexities of allergy life, How to introduce peanut safely, whether a symptom needs a call to the GP, a question you feel silly asking anyone else, you message me directly, and I answer as a real nurse who's spent 25 years in exactly this field.

No appointment to book. No waiting room. No 11pm spiral trying to piece it together yourself.

Is this a replacement for my GP or allergist?

No. I can't diagnose your child, and any decisions about their medical care should always sit with your treating doctor or specialist.

What I can do is help you understand what you've already been told, talk through whether something's worth calling about, and guide you through introducing new foods safely. A huge amount of the anxiety in this journey, at any stage, isn't about not having seen a doctor, it's about not fully understanding what to do next. That's exactly where I come in.

Who this is for

✔ You're introducing the common allergy foods for the first time and want to do it safely, without guessing
✔ You have a sibling with an allergy and are nervous introducing foods to a new baby
✔ You've noticed a symptom or reaction and aren't sure what it means
✔ Your child has been diagnosed with a food allergy, and you're figuring out everyday life
✔ You just want someone qualified in your corner, not another Facebook group with conflicting advice

What you get

Everything I've learned across 25 years as a paediatric nurse and a decade specialising in childhood allergy, the same depth that's inside my Confident Allergy Parent Toolkit, the Egg and Milk Ladder guides, and the First Foods & Allergy plan, applied specifically to your situation, whenever you need it.

All of my digital paid resources are inside the 'Ask Nurse Heidi' portal for you free of charge!

You don't need to have started anything, finished anything, or read anything first. Just ask, wherever you're at.

$12/month. Cancel any time.

No contract. No cancellation form. No awkward conversation. Just open your welcome email and cancel from there. There's no trip wires I promise, and you don't need to ask me!

"But will I actually use it every week?"

Probably, but maybe not every single week, and that's fine. This isn't about using it constantly. It's about it being there the times you really need it, whether that's about a first taste of peanut butter or a diagnosis you're still making sense of, (& knowing it is the right and safe information!)

Ready?

You don't have to keep piecing this together alone at midnight. Join Ask Nurse Heidi and ask me directly, whenever you need to, whatever stage you're at.

Hearing our 4 month old was intolerant to dairy and peanuts was a complete shock. We didn’t have any history of intolerances in our family and as expats we didn’t have any family around to turn to for advice and support. I was still breastfeeding and about to start weaning and I was super stressed about how we were going to tackle this new world. Having Heidi to guide us through that terrifying stage with her knowledge and expertise was a welcome lifeline. Heidi is understanding, calm, approachable and, as a Mum herself, she gets it. She relays information in a practical and no-nonsense way, and strives to give you comfort and confidence. I would highly recommend Heidi to any Mum navigating the world of allergies, intolerances and baby first aid.

I booked a 1:1 appointment with Heidi to discuss a reaction my 6-month-old had experienced to egg and dairy, and I’m so glad I did! Heidi was incredibly friendly and genuinely listened to our experience, concerns and questions. She has such a wealth of knowledge, and I felt reassured that her guidance was backed by both research and clinical experience. She helped me understand what had happened, where to go next, and provided some really helpful resources to support us moving forward. I left the appointment feeling validated, reassured and, most importantly, with a clear plan and the confidence to continue our allergy introduction journey. I’d absolutely recommend a chat with Heidi! She made what had felt like an overwhelming situation feel much more manageable.

I just wanted to say thank you again. I've felt so much more confident at home with my son, particularly now he is eating more. And, today he had PB on toast and no red marks! I think the consistency of twice a week, bit-by-bit has really helped him. I fear if I hadn't come to your course and received guidance from a great GP I would have cut it out altogether! Thank you

In this group I love that I have access to facts- and the answers to questions I have. All the info about what to expect when there's a reaction- mild moderate or ana!! Finding other parents in the same boat as me! The facts are much more settling than being in some FB group where everyone's stories just make me more anxious! And hearing too much conflicting advice!

In this group, it's the ability to trust that it's not woo woo nonsense on the internet (I read once you shouldn't eat grapes while pregnant as they "store heat" in the body - there's so much rubbish on the internet).

For me in this group, it's access to information that's accurate and the knowledge I have somewhere/ one to ask. It's also the reassurance that there are others in the same boat. Has been really good to see others have the same concerns
